"Good morning," I said as I came rushing over to Ray and Sirius before they left.
Seth had already headed out to spread the rumors and left sometime early this morning. But I managed to finish his extra good luck charms really early. He's gonna give one to each of the soldiers.
I'll admit, I didn't manage to do all of that in one night by myself. I forced Dalim to help me out a little. He's also gonna help spread the rumors. Apparently he's a bartender in the day time, Magic Tower disciple at night. It'll be perfect for him to help spread the hints that the Black Army was secretly overpowered.
We will be pretty soon, if all goes according to my secret plan.
Muahaha!! I'll have so much magic to play with now!
"Here you guys go," I said, handing Ray a relatively heavy bag filled with all the empty Magic Crystals that Seth had given me and that Dalim started to help me collect. "There should be more than enough for at least one for every soldier! Go on, sharing is caring!"
Ray gave me a small smile, but I could see that there was a hint of confusion in his gaze. Afterall, they looked like ordinary Magic Crystals, minus the magic, right? I spent all night pouring my heart and soul into these crystals, making sure that all the enchantments were spot on. I even owe Dalim a ton to get all these spelled in time!
If I recall correctly, I owe him at least ten cakes. But if we manage to win this war, it'll all be worth it!
I've got another giant batch of used up Magic Crystals in my room for me to stuff all the magic into. The Red Army sure goes through these super fast, Dalim was able to get a bunch just from their left overs.
"No worries, they're special," I said with a mischievous wink. "Go ahead! Take one, everybody!"
All the Black Soldiers cheered and crowded around, grabbing a bunch.
"If there are a lot of leftovers, hand them over to Seth's group," I said. "I want everyone to have a bit of luck on their side, if possible!"
"Are they really that special," Sirius asked, coming up beside me.
I looked up at him, a slight fluttering in my chest. I forced that feeling down as I beamed up at him. "Yup! Just you wait, I'll have a nice surprise for you all later! I promise!"
And with that in mind, I skipped off to distract myself while the others were on the battlefields.
As I did my daily tasks as usual, I couldn't help but hum and smile at every little thing. As I watered the plants, cooked lunch, washed the dishes, tended to the wounded. I wasn't even that bothered by their wounds now, and some of them had woken up from their peaceful slumbers. The painkillers were still in effect, thankfully, but chatting with them only brightened my day even more.
Before I knew it, the sun had started to fall down and it was night time.
I was busy perfecting a healing spell for the wounded when Sirius knocked on my door.
Because of the fight, I was filled with so much magic and no outlet. Even after putting all the magic I could into the leftover Magic Crystals, my body couldn't really handle all that excitement, so I settled with levitating some objects in my room to get rid of some extra magic.
And I wanted some practice.
Hearing the knock on my door, I placed everything back down, even myself, and hid my journals once more.
"Coming," I called as I shoved it into my bed frame's secret compartment. "Gimme a sec!"
After a bit of tidying up, I opened up the door to smile up at Sirius. "So, you got the report yet?"
