The Central Quarter really was bustling with activity. I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like there were less people around than when I visited as a child. Maybe that's only because as a child, the world seemed so huge. Now, it doesn't seem that big anymore.
"Let's go down this side first," Seth said, leading me to one side of the street as we started shopping.
Even though I wanted to spend most of the money on the Black Army themselves, I couldn't help but buy myself a small journal. An official journal for my magical studies, so my diary can become a diary again. It was a simple leather bound journal with flower engravings and a golden lock.
"Woah," Seth said as he looked at the book. "What's it gonna be used for?"
"As a diary," I hummed, tucking it into a bag I had on. I will probably write a bit about my days in it as well, if I think it'll help out my studies.
"Cool," Seth said as he bounded over to the next shop. "Oh, oh! Look at this thing, Alice!"
Before we knew it, the day was over and time for us to leave. I got all of the Black Army soldiers some candy as treats, but I wanted to get Sirius something special! He was the one who handed me the money in the first place, after all.
"Wait, Seth," I said, stopping at a poster I saw stuck to the wall. It had a very familiar face and a familiar silver eye. "What's this?"
On the poster, it was that Harr Silver was a wanted man. Anyone who finds him will be greatly paid back by the Magic Tower. No wonder Amon wants me to stay away from those people.
"Oh, that's the Joker," Seth said, coming up beside me. "He's apparently wanted. No one is sure what he did though."
I nodded my head, keeping Harr's visit to Sirius a secret. Sirius will definitely be in big trouble if that happens, and Harr seems like a good guy!
On our way back from the town, my eyes caught on a flower shop. It had Canis Major written on it. Wasn't Canis Major a constellation in my world? Wait, and Sirius is a star, isn't it?
"Seth, let's go over there," I said, tugging on Seth's sleeve and pointing to the shop. "I think I can find some flowers for Sirius there!"
"Why don't you just give him some candy like everyone else," Seth whined. I think he was tired.
"Come on, last stop! I promise!!"
Seth sighed dramatically, but followed me as I walked into the shop.
"Hello," a beautiful lady at the counter said when she saw me. She had brown hair and violet eyes, just like Sirius.
"Hi," I said waving at her. "Do you happen to have any snapdragon seeds around here?"
*~*
Seth frowned as we exited the flower shop behind us. "Why did you ask specifically for snapdragons?"
I smirked at the curious male as I pocketed the seeds, letting it rest beside the still charging Magic Crystal. I let the magic enchant the seeds, giving it protection against evil and harmful forces.
"Sirius isn't the only one knowledgeable on the language of flowers," I hummed as I skipped to our carriage. "Snapdragons have a specific meaning that I really like."
Seth tilted his head as we got inside the vehicle and the horses started moving. "What do they mean then?"
"Perseverance," I said, counting my fingers as I named the different meanings and symbolisms that a snapdragon has. "Grace, beauty, and protection against evil."
