S1E6: Getting out

"Bum." Food Club kicked off not long after Alison and Mike went to their respective jobs. Robin had been chosen to speak first, which was not a common occurrence as the others usually took the floor, eager to talk of the food from their lifetime.

"Right." Pat nodded, as they all stare at Robin.

"Bum, or neck, or leg. But first choice bum."

"Is it cooked?" Fanny questioned.

"Of course, I'm not animal."

"Could've fooled me."

"Hey, you want some?" Robin turned to her, as if challenging her to a fight.

"Alright, alright." Pat got to his feet, quick to stop the tension building.

"Well."

"So, Robin misses eating... bum." Pat said, definitely regretting having to repeat it. "Of?"

"Oh, any bum."

"Rump steak, why not?"

"If I may, Patrick-" The Captain strode towards Robin and Pat.

"Well, we haven't actually finished yet-" Pat attempted to tell him as Robin wandered to sit down.

"Good. Now, I can't be the only one who is sick of the noise night after night." The Captain announced.

"Oh, not this again-" Fanny started to complain.

"No, I am not talking about you, Fanny. I am talking about Alison and Michael banging." Julian looked at the man with a 'really' look as Lucille tried to stifle the laugh that wanted to come out. "All evening! Banging, hammering, drilling, it's intolerable! They've been forced to get jobs in the day. Now it's time to force them out in the night."

"But then they'd be gone." Pat said, highly confused with Captain's logic.

"Exactly." Lucille sighed deeply, how foolish of her to think they had gotten over this. "They're broken, in retreat, out of their depth! I believe it's time for one last push. Strike while they're weak. Get them out forever."

"I don't want to!" Kitty exclaimed.

"What?"

"I like them! I like Alison, and I miss her when she's not here."

"So much." Thomas added wistfully.

"You're too soft. You like everyone." The Captain said.

"Well, I don't like you!" Kitty stood to her feet.

"Kitty-" Lucille tried to grab the Georgian's arm to attempt to calm down the raising tension, but the woman stepped away from her.

"Bossing everyone around all the long day! Since they've arrived, you've become worse and worse, and I've had enough to be actually honest!"

Mary stood up. "Amen!"

"Well, I haven't heard anybody else complain about my leadership." The Captain pointed out.

"Leadership?" Thomas scoffed, now on his feet. "You're not the leader!"

"Yes, I am! I'm ranking officer."

"Well, we're not soldiers." Fanny pointed out, getting to her feet.

"Yeah, this isn't the Army..." Pat added, looking up at Captain. "Sir."

"Oh, I see what this is. It's a coup, isn't it? A bloodless coup!" The Captain exclaimed, he pointed his swagger stick at the politician. "What, is it, you, Julian? Taking over?"
