S4E4: Gone Gone
A/N: I'm still depressed over this episode 😭

The ghosts stood in the living room, standing by the window as they readied themselves for Captain's tour of the grounds. They were looking for different variety of birds; he had called it Dawn Chorus Club... yes it was dawn, yes Lucille was exhausted. It sounded like a really peaceful activity for the ghosts to do, even if certain ones (cough Julian cough) were relatively against the order. Lucille had to convince Julian to actually tag along, instead of staying back and doing something wildly inappropriate; he didn't even know that the Captain was such a keen bird watcher (Twitcher?) but Lucille hadn't been that surprised. The Captain had been in the war, and not even on the front lines, there wouldn't have been much else to do on breaks... if he ever took them... He hadn't had much to do in his death, she would rather say.
"Now, you hear that? That's a song thrush. Now, once we strike out into the fields, we'll hear a great variety of birds. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a reed warbler. Alright, team, packs on!" Captain stated.
"Oh! It would be lovely if we had packs, wouldn't it?" Pat agreed, desperately missing the feeling of such a thing.
"Yes, it would Patrick."
"Sorry, when you said Dawn Chorus Club, I thought you meant we'd be singing." Kitty said.
"No. Just the birds, Kitty."
"Will there be tits?" Julian asked, causing a massive groan from the other ghosts. "Only joined because I could say that." Lucille stamped on his foot. "Bloody hell woman! And because it's such a joy to be with you all."
"Typical Julian. And you can stop that sniggering, Robin." Fanny admonished, turning to look at the caveman, only to find he wasn't there. "Robin? Robin? Where's Robin?"
"I don't want to be a harbinger of doom-" Thomas began.
"He does." Julian interrupted, jerking away as Lucille went to stomp on his foot once more. "Haha, missed me."
"-but I haven't seen him for two days."
"Three, now you come to mention it." Captain's eyes widened as he thought about it.
"Oh no. You don't think...?" Kitty began.
"He's been sucked off." Mary stated. "Lucky beggar."
"He can't have been sucked off." Lucille leaned heavily against the small cupboard behind her.
"Oh, you don't really think he's gone, do you?" Fanny asked.
"Wh-wh-what if he has? What if he has?" Captain asked, his voice raising an octave.
"What would we do?" Kitty wailed. The ghosts all began talking over each other, panicked voices raising to fill the room.
"Hold! Hold!" Captain announced, staring out the window with his fingers around his eyes like binoculars. "No. There he is. Twelve o'clock." Robin waved at them from where he was stood, much to the relief of everyone.
"Oh, goodness."
"Oh, dear."
"Oh, thank actual God."
"Well, that's a relief."
"That was a right old scare." Pat stated.
"For a moment there, I thought he'd - erm..." Captain cut himself off as Mary started to glow.
