I was woken by the alarm I forgot to shut off from yesterday, I rolled over feeling like shit with a headache from hell. I climbed out of bed after shutting off my phone, I walked out of the bedroom and into the kitchen for some coffee trying to wake myself up. Hopefully get rid of this raging headache, I walked into the kitchen to see Tyler taking two Advil pills.
"What's wrong with you?"
He turned around with a sad, startled look on his face.
"The couch killed my back, the guestroom's way too cold and I don't feel like freezing to death."
I nodded my head not blaming him for not wanting to freeze, I walked over taking the bottle putting two pills in my small hands.
"What about you, what's wrong with you?"
I looked at him to see worry and concern in his blue eyes.
"I have a raging headache that absolutely fucking kills."
I rubbed my temples after I swallowed down the pills with some water, there was an awkward uneasy silence between us.
"I'm sorry about last night I honestly didn't mean to, and actually I didn't forget at all I got called into work. When I got home you hadn't called yet so I went to lay down and fell asleep, I didn't even hear my phone ring and believe me if I had I would've been there for you, baby I promise."
I nodded my head, getting an uneasy feeling in my stomach like something was off about what he said.
"What time did you get called in?"
I asked curiously.
"I got called in like right after I dropped you off, why do you ask?"
"Let me see your phone?"
His eyes bulged out of his head, but he gave into my request.
"Alright, I don't know what you're looking for but alright."
I went through his call history and found that his work called him 10 minutes after I entered the restaurant, but just in case I called the number.
"BNSF how may I help you?"
"Hi yes I'm calling to see what time Tyler Moore came in for work yesterday, would you be able to give me that information?"
"Yes I am, if you would wait just a moment so I can look that would be perfect since computers are slow here."
"Oh of course, I'll just wait on the line if that's okay with you?"
"Yes that's quite alright I'll be with you in just a moment."
I waited about ten or so minutes for her to come back.
"Yes hello, Tyler Moore clocked in at around 11:30."
I frowned knowing that I made a mistake.
"Well thank you for that and I hope I never have to inconvenience again."
"Oh no honey don't worry about it, you call anytime."
The lady hung up and I looked at Tyler.
"Did you get your answers?"
He asked with a smirk plastered on his face.
"Actually I did, I'm sorry I didn't believe you but I haven't had much luck with guys let alone a guy I could trust. So forgive me for wanting to check, make sure that I could trust you, now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go and try to get rid of this headache since I have to work tomorrow. If you get called into work or something just text me so I can find another ride to get home, that's what a phone is for."
