It's been two days since prom and things have been great between Liam and I, we're constantly joking and flirting playfully just like when we were back in high school even though he's still in high school. Luckily he's a senior and a straight "A" student so he gets early out, I wish I was back in school, and that I didn't have a baby. I mean I love Payton and I don't regret her at all but I miss having a life and being somewhat free. Feeling lonely while Liam was at school I sent a text to the one friend that I had, who I hadn't seen since I was pregnant with Payton.

*Hey, u want 2 hang out? I'll send u my new address?*

I waited a few minutes before I got a text back from him.

*Hangin with Ty but mayb when I'm done, u want 2 send the address now.*

*Alright, u no where Liam lives?*

*Yeah, Y?*

*Bcuz that's where I live now.*

I put the phone down, walking down the hall to Payton's room to see what she was doing, I walked in, and she was sitting there on the floor coloring in a color book. I smiled walking in, I sat on the floor across from her, and she looked up at me with a bright smile.

"Hey mommy, whatcha doin?"

"Waiting for a friend, what are you doing?"

"Coloring."

"It looks pretty baby."

She smiled, and I stood from the floor.

"Aright sweetie, I'm gonna leave you to it, I love you."

"Alright mommy, I love you too."

I walked down the hall, heading for the kitchen, but stopped when I heard a quick knock on the front door. I looked at the time and it was only twelve meaning that Liam wouldn't be home till about one or two depending on if he stays after or not. I walked over to the door opening it to see Alex standing there with a small smile on his face, I stepped aside and let him in. He walked to the living room taking a seat on the far end of the couch while I sat on the chair, I looked at him and he looked at me.

"So what's up? I haven't heard from you since I fixed the furnace at Tyler's."

"Yeah, how is he? Last I saw him I cursed him out and told him to stay the fuck away from Payton and I."

He nodded his head.

"He's shit, he misses you and Payton, he kept her nursery the same as when you left, he doesn't wash any of the shirts you used to wear because they smell like you. He's a wreck, I don't know what to do or how to help him, he just needs you and her back in his life in some way."

I laughed, shaking my head.

"The last I checked he has a new whore, he doesn't need me anymore, and he sure as hell doesn't love me. He lost Payton when he broke into Ryan's house and forced me to tell her who he was before she was ready to know the truth. Not to mention I was thinking about giving him visitation, I was gonna give him another chance and he fucked that up so he can suck it."

He nodded his head.

"So why did you invite me over, was it to trash your ex or what?"

Before I could answer Payton came running in with a piece of paper and a smile on her face.

"Mommy, mommy look what I made."

I smiled and looked at the colors on the paper.

"It's beautiful baby, are they flowers?"

"Yeah."

"It's beautiful baby, can you go and make Liam one? I know he would love one of your beautiful pictures."

"Really mommy?"

"Really."

"Okay."

She ran back to her room and I couldn't help the smile that lingered on my face, I turned my attention back to Alex and answered his question.

"I invited you over because I was bored as hell, Liam's at school and it's just me and Payton here during the day all week. It's Monday, so this will be happening all week, so boredom is going to be my new best friend, yay me."

He chuckled a bit before nodding his head.

"Well if you don't mind me saying Payton has really grown up, she's a cutie."

I let out a small laugh, nodded my head agreeing with him, Payton came out a few more times with more pictures. Soon Liam came home and Alex left, Payton walked into the room, she smiled at Liam, giving him a hug. She looked down with a small blush before handing him the picture she made, he smiled giving her a big hug causing her to giggle.

"Why thank you beautiful, it's such a pretty picture."

"Thank you."

Her voice was sweet and shy as he put her down and she ran back down the hall to her room, I let out a small laugh at how shy she was suddenly being towards him. Liam set down his backpack and walked towards me, he wrapped his arms around my waist. I placed my hands on his chest and leaned my forehead against his, we stood there in a comfortable silence till Liam felt the need to break it.

"Can I ask you something?"

I smirked and me being the smart ass I am, I replied.

"You just did."

He chuckled, shaking his head.

"Elena, I'm being serious."

"Okay, okay shoot."

He let out a small sigh.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

I moved out of his hold slightly, looking up at him.

"Liam, are you sure?"

"Elena, I've never been more sure about anything in my life, I've liked you since I first met you, and over the past weeks I've fallen in love with you all over again."

I looked at him and smiled.

"Yes Liam, I'll be your stay at home, no fun, daughter having girlfriend."

He smiled nodding his head, before he placed a soft kiss on my lips and pulled away, I smiled up at him. The rest of the night we played with Payton and when it was time for her to go to bed we decided to go to bed too. Liam had school and I don't know what I'm gonna do with Payton tomorrow but I'm sure I'll figure it out then. I changed into Liam's shirt and crawled into bed, soon Liam joined me, he kissed my cheek and we fell asleep in each other's arms.
