Nico has family issues.

This is a bad fanfic. I've been having mental breakdowns due to stress so this one shot isn't great. I still wanted to get something out to you guys, but I know it's not the best. It's short and it doesn't make a lot of sense. But I had fun making it and it got my mind away from my current problems right now.

Nico sat in his room doing homework as his parents fought. Even though it was late at night, it seems as though they fight all the time.

*Ring, ring, ring*

A call. Nico saw that it was from Will, his boyfriend.

"Hello?" Nico picked it up.

"Hey, Neeks... you wanna go for a drive?" Will asked.

"Right now? It's like 2 am?" Nico looked at the clock.

"You're awake. You're parents seem to be awake. What's the harm?" Will laughed.

"Haha, alright, when will you be here, I'll come from my window," Nico closed his homework and got a jacket.

"I'm in front of your house right now, actually," Will laughed.

"Oh, then I'm coming right now," Nico lifted the window and climbed out. His father and stepmother are aware he sneaks out at night, but are too busy with their dilemma to give two shits about him. They're fond of Will too, they know he's in safe hands.

"Hey, babes," Will leaned to greet Nico as he open the car door. "So what do you want to do?"

"I just want to get away from here," Nico buckled his seat belt.

"Your wish is my command," Will drove off.

The streetlights flickered as they drove by. It peaceful and quiet, something that never happens in the Di Angelo household. They soon got on the empty highway and cruised. Will open the windows, letting Nico's hair run wild. They both inhaled the somewhat fresh air. Will had a million of siblings, so privacy was never a thing in his house and Nico had fighting, yelling parents 24/7.

Will turned up the music louder. The songs blasted through the speakers. Nico opened the sunroof of the car and climbed up. Spreading his arms out and feeling the wind against his face, he euphorically laughed.

So this is freedom? Nico thought.

He smiled widely. Will laughed at the sight of Nico. Driving through the night was something Nico would find enjoying. Nico's chest started to hurt from laughter, so he climbed down. Will pulled off of the highway into an underpass. They laughed as they reclined the seats.

"Thank you Will," Nico smiled.

"I think we both needed that, no?" Will sighed.

Nico nodded in agreement and leaned in for a kiss. Will accepted and kissed him back.

Once they got back, it was almost 4 am. Nico climbed back into his room and Will drove off.

Today was nice.

Hiiii, this one shot was something that popped into my head today really late at night and I wanted to make it before I forgot the next morning. I made it within 30 minutes so it's really rough. It was inspired by the song "Ribs" by Lorde. Something about that song is just like... euphoria to me. It calms me. Which is good. Also, thank you guys for 11k+ reads!!!
