There was once a boy who couldn't feel emotion. He was born without them. So to fill the empty void, other people gave him all the emotions they didn't want.

He felt everything. Fear, sadness, disgust, anger, regret, hatred. Although no one ever gave him happiness. For years until the age of 16, things were different.

Will Solace, the boy who couldn't emote, was given happiness. It caught him off guard. Why would someone want to give up their happiness?

"Why? Why are you giving me your happiness?" He looked deep into the young boy's brown eyes.

They boy looked back, "because out of all the things I was given, it was happiness... but everything that you have and want, happiness isn't one of them. I feel... sympathy, I guess." He smiled.

"But-" Will tried.

"Tell me how if feels," the boy said.

It felt like a rush of energy, a warmth that was never felt before. It was felt fuzzy and tingly.

"Ah, what is this?!?" Will said.

"Are you happy? Are you warm and excited?" The boy asked.

"Yes... how are you?" Will asked.

"Pretty normal. I never really felt my happiness a lot," he shrugged.

"Wow this feels... amazing," Will laughed.

"Good," the boy said.

"What's your name?" Will asked him.

"Ni Di Angelo," he said.

"Thank you, Nico," Will said. For the first time in his 16 years of life, he smiled.

Another short short one. I honestly don't know what I'm doing at this point. I have like over 90 assignments to do that's due like... in a couple days and I've done nothing. I got this from another prompt on social media, but I kinda twisted it. Happy Reading!
