I lied. No Royalty/Rivalry AU just yet. Sorry. I actually accidentally deleted the draft for it so it might take a little longer, I'm sorry- I was almost done too ಥ_ಥ

Also, I'm going to be on a trip for 10 days, so I might not be able to write as much as I plan. I will try to get the Rivalry/Royalty Prs. 2 out I promise, but I will have to rewrite some!!!

I was the last person on earth. He accepted my love and he loved me back.

Humans constantly filled with greed and lust, killed each other without fail.

The love of my life, Nico Di Angelo, hated what the world became. The earth itself was dying, and people did nothing about it.

Fights were usual, hatred and death reeked the air. I walked around the city as people screamed in pain and agony. Fires were constant, and I, a doctor was fired. Police, the people we thought would keep those in check, did the opposite. Doctors neglected patients, money was irrelevant. We were all puppets on a string.

The few that remained were slaughtered by an invisible person. Out of the whole world there was 30. Then 20. Then 15. Then 10. Then 4. Then 2. Each person died at the same exact time on different days.

Nico didn't cower in fear, but he was scared and I knew it. The thrill of saving him from this awful world sparked a warmth in me. So i did it. I saved him.

On that night, I woke up. Glanced around the area, no one. Nico slept softly and soundly, good. I went back to bed. In the morning, 7:45 am, he got ready as usual, and I watched him. Same old, same old. The afternoon, we looked for food. Nico walked around the empty city as I walked by.

I grabbed him by the shirt and hugged him. He was shocked at first, but accepted the hug. I smirked at his small hands moving up my back.

I raised my hand and thrust the small blade in his back. His body stiffened up. Shaking, he slowly moved his head up revealing his eyes of shock and pain. After a while, I felt the blood drip down his small, frail body. I pulled the blade out slowly, so the pain lasted longer. He grunted in surprise.

"Why?" His voice quivered.

"I'm saving you," I smiled a toothy grin, whispering in his ear making his shiver. The blood formed a pool around his body. His pale body was getting paler and blue. He grabbed my shirt and frowned, obviously scared.

"It was you-" he breathed, anger in his voice. I felt the feeling of joy and happiness fill my chest. I nodded happily. His eyes grew large. His head it the concrete sidewalk and moved to the side, motionless. I checked his pulse.

"Time of death; 8:23, happy birthday to me," I sang. I stood up and walked away from Nico, walking through the city.

I was the last person on earth.

Hi, I lied. I'm procrastinating on the Rivalry/Royalty AU Pt. 2. I wrote this while listening to Rhinestone eyes by Gorillaz. I don't know if you got it, but 8/23 is Will's birthday so he would kill each person on 8:23 am. Yeah, I'm sorry for this, it's kinda short too. I actually will give Rivalry/Royalty AU Pt. 2 out to you guys, I promise. Happy reading!
