Chayoung just stared at the homemade bibimbap in front of her. It was Monday already and she still couldn't believe what happened two days ago.
Two days ago
Vincenzo stopped his car in front of Chayoung's house. The ride from the country club to Chayoung's home was quiet. Both Vincenzo and Chayoung were busy with their own thoughts, processing the absurd thing that just happened.
'How can I kiss him?! I kissed him first?!' Chayoung scolded herself.
'What the actual fuck, Vin?' Vincenzo cursed at himself.
When Vincenzo managed to keep his cool despite being as shocked about the situation, Chayoung was clearly out of it.
"We're here," Vincenzo calmly said.
'How could he be so calm?' Chayoung looked at him, which made Vincenzo was taken back because Hong Chayoung looked like she was angry at him.
Chayoung sighed and tried to compose herself. She needed to say something as someone who did kiss first, eventhough to her Vincenzo was just as guilty because he kissed back.
"About today," Chayoung cleared her throat. Vincenzo looked at her, nervous about what she wanted to say. If she asked for an explanation, Vincenzo would be screwed because he couldn't understand what was going on as well.
"We should just.. keep it a secret. Act like it never happened? Cool?"
Vincenzo's eyes widened. He should be fine and grateful even. It was just a kiss afterall. Vincenzo was used to play around with women in Europe, this should be no big deal for him. But why did he feel disappointed, angry even, at what Hong Chayoung just said?
Vincenzo kept quiet, he was thinking.
It wasn't a mistake on his part because he clearly enjoyed kissing the woman who sat on his passenger's seat. But he knew that pursuing his newfound, weird feelings toward this woman was just the same like betraying his own family. It was unacceptable for him."Cool?" Chayoung carefully asked again. They were adults afterall. They can act mature about the situation. But to Chayoung, Vincenzo looked like he was upset... almost sulking?
"Uhm," Vincenzo said and quickly opened his seatbelt. Chayoung was eyeing his every move and watched as Vincenzo went out of the car only to open her door.
"It looks like it's about to rain, you should go inside," Vincenzo said as he looked away. Chayoung's stomach felt funny. 'This is just a simple gesture, he's just being a gentleman' Chayoung thought, but she felt like it was completely something else.
Chayoung grabbed Vincenzo's jacket on her lap. He previously placed it on Hong Chayoung's laps to cover her exposed legs as soon as she sat down on his car. It was another gesture that made Hong Chayoung's stomach felt funny, among other things.
She stepped out of the car and handed him his jacket.
"Uh, ehm," Chayoung scratched the back of her neck. "Thank you for driving me home," she awkwardly said. Vincenzo didn't reply, he just looked at her intently as if it was the last time."Thank you for today, Miss Hong," he smiled a little and gestured her to go inside. Chayoung nodded and went inside. She could feel he was staring at her until she closed her gate. As soon as Chayoung was inside, she let out a huge breath she didn't know she was holding. "Calm down," Chayoung pressed her hand against her chest. Her heart was beating fast as if she just ran 5k.
