It had been three days since the night Jihong left for Swiss. He had sent a goodbye e-mail for everyone at the hospital and apologized that he had to leave so abruptly without a proper goodbye. After that day, Vincenzo was also busy with tons of work that he had previously neglected when he was in Italy for a month. Hong Chayoung on the other hand was continuing to live her days as usual: surgeries, doing rounds, outpatients, cooking dinner for her Father, and oh a new routine, texting Vincenzo every now and then.

"At this point you might as well glue your eyes to the phone," Woojin teased Chayoung. The two best friends were having lunch at the hospital canteen.

"He said he was in a meeting two hours ago, why doesn't he text back yet?" Chayoung tilted her head, completely ignoring Woojin's remarks at her.

Hong Chayoung had found out that Vincenzo was not exactly the romantic type, but she loved it when he texted her the occasional "Have you had lunch yet?"  or "Have a good day at work". It was awkward but Chayoung found it adorable, knowing how straightforward Vincenzo was and that he wasn't that good with words.

"Stop acting like a teenager in love. Aigoo.. just weeks ago you were telling me that the guy was a complete bastard, now here you are totally head over heels for him. This new..." Woojin pointed his hands exaggeratedly at Chayoung before he continued, "Doesn't suit you, Hong Chayoung-ssi," Woojin said and put a spoonful of rice on his mouth.

"YA! Be quiet! Someone might hear you! I told you that you should keep this a secret for now. Consider yourself privileged for knowing my private life, even before Miri.. I'm still waiting for the right time to tell her," Chayoung sighed and put down her phone on the table. "Besides I'm still not sure what are we," she mumbled to herself.

"What are you two gossiping about?" Miri popped out of nowhere making Chayoung gasped in surprise and Woojin coughed, spitting some of the rice to his bowl of galbitang.

"Make some noise when you walk, will you?! I could've died!" Woojin glared at the short-haired after he gulped down his food with water.

"You're surrounded by doctors. What's the worse that could happen?" Miri replied nonchalantly and took a seat next to Chayoung. Woojin just stared at Miri dramatically in response to her remarks.

"So.. what am I missing? I've been in swamped with surgeries now that dr. Park resigned. I can barely took a sip of coffee for the last three days! This brought me back to my resident days. Gosh, I'm starving!"

Chayoung threw Miri a concerned look and patted her back.

"Nothing, Woojin here just told me that his mother finally set him on a blind date," Chayoung said which earned a glare at Woojin. He had specifically told her to keep this to herself.

"Eomoni did?! Really?" Miri was shocked. For the past five years the three musketeers had been together, Chayoung and Miri had never once seen Woojin out with a girl. Not once. It was concerning because Woojin wasn't exactly unpopular. A lot of younger doctors and nurses asked him out because he had this charming look on him. He just never interested in any of them.

"Ahaha.. yeah. What can I say? She's my mother. She has full control over me," Woojin laughed sarcastically and drank his water to hide his irritation toward Chayoung.

'You owe me so bad,' Woojin whispered to Chayoung when Miri wasn't looking. Chayoung just replied him with a smile before she stood up, taking her food tray with her.

"It's time for my rounds, I'm going," Chayoung announced but she didn't move. She was watching her two best friends who both stared at her in confusion.
