Chayoung woke up with mild headache in her head. After her surgery last night, she decided to work on her research in her office, partly to calm her mind down after the newfound information Seoha told her. Chayoung arrived at home at around 2am and immediately fell asleep as soon as she got home.
Chayoung stared at her ceiling for awhile before she took her phone from the nightstand. Her eyes widened when she saw that it was already 11am. "Omo, I forget to make breakfast. Appa must be starving," Chayoung sighed and quickly woke up, knocking her foot to her nightstand in the process.
"Ouch," she winced in pain. She jumped with one feet and opened the her bedroom door.
"APPA! Why didn't you wake me up?" Chayoung shouted from the second floor. She walked down the stairs but stopped when she heard that her dad was talking to someone.
"Ah it's just my daughter, don't mind her." Chayoung could hear her father talked to someone and she peeked to the kitchen to see who was his father's companion. Chayoung squinted her eyes because she didn't have her contact lenses on to see who it was.
Is Aunt here? Chayoung thought.
She kept trying to get a clear look on the person.
"Ah, Mr. Cassano. You are really good at brewing coffee, you should open up your own cafe," Yuchan laughed. Upon hearing the name, Chayoung was startled and lost her footing, causing her to fell down a few steps of stairs and groaned in pain as her butt hit the wooden floor.
"Chayoung? What are you doing there?" Yuchan said, glancing at his one and only grown-up daughter who was wincing in pain. Her hair was all over the place, she wore her baggy grey 'Seoul Medical' shirt paired with an oversized sweatpants, and let's not get started with her pillow face. In short, Hong Chayoung looked like a total mess.
Vincenzo was about to help Chayoung when he realized Chayoung was looking down, hiding her face with both of her hands. She is embarrassed, again, Vincenzo smiled shook his head slowly at the sight of Chayoung.
"Are you okay, Miss Hong?" Vincenzo finally spoke up, causing the 30-year-old woman who sat on the floor to look up, glaring at him with all her might. That actually made Vincenzo flinched and for a second he actually got scared at how Chayoung was looking straight at him.
"Chayoung, come here. Meet my client slash new friend, we just went golfing together," Yuchan smiled proudly. Chayoung finally stood up as she fixed her hair and made her way toward the dinner table where two men were currently sipping their cups of espresso. Chayoung realized that her dad was wearing his golfing attire, so did Vincenzo.
"It's been a while since you golf," Chayoung mumbled at her dad.
"I know right, but Vincenzo-ssi here managed to take me golfing and makes me realize how much I miss golfing," Yuchan said, making Chayoung glanced at the all-too-calm Vincenzo who was peacefully sipped his coffee.
"Nice to meet you, Miss Hong," Vincenzo looked up to her from his coffee. His dazzling look almost made Chayoung lost her footing again, but she managed to hold her composure. "Ah uhm, yes, annyeonghaseo," Chayoung bowed at him which caused Vincenzo to laugh a little. Chayoung carefully looked at her father again and she was glad when Yuchan didn't catch that.
"She's not usually this messy. My daughter is a neurosurgeon and she rarely has time to sleep so everytime she's home, I feel like I'm living with a zombie," Yuchan said. "Appa!" Chayoung whined at her father. She didn't need her father to pile up the embarrassment she already felt with her already chaotic appearance.
