Seoul Memorial Hospital
Seoul, South Korea
"Irrigation, please."
Addison nodded at the order and did what Chayoung asked her. The senior surgeon smiled behind her surgical mask, clearly pleased at Hong Chayoung's work. She was the lead surgeon on a very complex craniotomy procedure they were currently doing. And to no surprise, Hong Chayoung always nailed her sugeries. Her skills and attitude easily made Hong Chayoung the best doctor Addison had ever mentored, and she was indeed proud of her junior who was just couple months away from earning her Professor title.
The 30-years-old fellow neurosurgeon softly placed back a piece of skull and quickly wrapped up the 6-hours-long surgery.
"Good job everyone," Chayoung finally looked up from her microscope, bowed a little to her attending, resident, and all nurses who were in charge on that surgery. "Good job, dr. Hong," everyone replied in unison.
"You should talk to the family, I will wrap things up and handle the patient's transfer to the ICU. You've done a great job," Addison gave Chayoung a small pat on the back. "Thank you, dr. Addison," Chayoung bowed at her. She took off her surgical gowns and headed out to meet the worried family, waiting for their 12-years-old daughter.

Chayoung was enjoying her cup of coffee at the hospital garden. She was busy listing all the things she could've done better at her surgery. Despite all the praises she had, this was something Chayoung had always done everytime she started as an intern.
Chayoung's train of thought was interrupted with a notification sound on her phone. She took out her phone and opened the text messaging app. A smile appeared as she saw 10 unread messages from the same person. Annoying Jerk.
Good morning, hope you have a good day at work.
Have you eaten yet?
I'm in a meeting, FYI.
Do you want to grab dinner together?
I checked on the hospital's schedule, you are quite busy today. Don't skip on meals.
Should I pick you up?
You should be done by now, why are you not replying to me?
Call me when you can.
What time will you get off from work?
Give me a call.
Chayoung smiled at his messages. It was funny that one week ago she was the one worrying about him all the time. After that night at the Cassano Estate, it seemed like the table had turned. Chayoung was the one who was busy as her promotion date was approaching. She had a lot of things to get done before the year ended and barely saw Vincenzo since she visited the estate last week.
Vincenzo, on the other hand, felt like a totally different person to Chayoung, in a good way. Apparently, Vincenzo Cassano took her words too seriously about informing her what he's up to and as a result, he turned into this very out-of-character man who texted her all the time. Chayoung loved it though, because with both of their busy lives, communication was a very crucial thing. She learned this the hard way from her previous relationship with Tae Goo.
So every night, for the past week since their heartfelt confession at the estate, Vincenzo and Chayoung always talked to each other. Although the haven't really gone to a real "date" yet, the two always tried to make time between each other's packed schedule, whether it be a simple text or a surprise appearance of Vincenzo at the hospital to drive Chayoung home from work.
