PART II: The Way for Us

Winter has always stored a bitter memory for Hong Chayoung. It always reminded her of her mother's death and how everything was never the same for Chayoung after losing her mother that one winter. However, last winter brought a completely different memory for the beautiful neurosurgeon. It was when her life turned completely upside down, from getting out of a two-year platonic relationship to being engaged, again, but this time with the love of her life.

Although her relationship with Vincenzo had not been the easiest journey, especially with her job as a wickedly busy neurosurgeon and her soon-to-be responsibilities to become the matriarch to one of Europe's largest conglomerate families, nothing could change the fact that both Vincenzo and Chayoung loved each other very much. There was nothing more beautiful in life than being able to love and be loved by someone you cherish the most.

Vincenzo Cassano, on the other hand, had never been happier in his life. He met the love of his life. Even though he still had a lot of pain inside of him, Hong Chayoung's existence in his life made everything a thousand more bearable. He started to view the world in a different way. The bitterness and darkness inside him slowly faded when Chayoung entered his life, filling up the void of his emotions with a newfound feeling that he thought he could never experienced: love. 

Hong Yuchan was ecstatic when Vincenzo came to his house last Christmas, asked for his permission to marry his one and only daughter. The Cassanos were even more happy to hear the exciting news, that their oldest finally wanted to settle down, with a woman who Alberto and Catherine highly approved on top of that. 

Everything seemed to go so well for both of them. What could've gone wrong right? 

But it's a total déjà vu for both of them, because last year, they were both doing so well yet everything turned completely different in a span of barely a year. Life is a never-ending journey and until they close their eyes on their death beds, there are no way to find out what life has in store for them.
