Three weeks later.

For surgeons, a week passed by like it was nothing. Time lost it's meaning everytime surgeons entered the OR and once they stepped out of those cold, sliding metal doors, they just realized that a day had gone by just like that.

However, it wasn't like that for Hong Chayoung. After the kiss she had with Vincenzo at the Plaza, she couldn't stop checking on her phone. She was fine during surgeries, but once they were all over, she would fine herself pacing back and forth, calculating all the facts she probably missed. Maybe he's busy, he is a businessman afterall, Chayoung tried to calm herself. With that in mind, a week passed by.

The second week was quite busy. There were a lot of surgeries that Chayoung had to perform, but that didn't mean she could stop thinking why a certain someone didn't call her yet. It wouldn't be too hard to find my number right? I mean, he did a background check on Dad, Chayoung tried to reason and find out why she didn't hear anything from him.

She would walk pass by Park Jihong or chatted with him during lunch, but she couldn't bring herself to talk about Vincenzo, or asked about him. It was complicated for Chayoung to explain her relationship with Jihong's cousin, because even Chayoung didn't understand what were they.

Are we friends? Are we acquaintance? Am I just a fling? With all of those thoughts, the second week passed by and Chayoung was now getting angry.

She felt like she was played and she remembered what Miri had said about her first impression on Vincenzo, that she thought he was a jerk who went around toying with girls he currently had interest on.

Does he think I'm easy since I kissed him first?
What kind of man confessed to a woman, kissed her, and then leave without saying a word?
He must think he can just mess around with my feelings?
Is he already engaged and just play around with me while he's staying in South Korea?
If I see him again, I will stab him to death with my own scalpel.
Wah, this bastard!! How dare he make me question my own integrity as a woman?!

CRACK

Chayoung was taken back to reality, noticing that her friends and colleagues in the doctor's lounge was staring at her. She was deep in thoughts and suddenly broke a pencil she's been holding.

"She's out of it again," Woojin put his hands on his chin and stared at Chayoung who was sitting across the room.

"What's up with her? She doesn't want to tell me anything," Miri said as she put on her coat, ready to leave work for the day.

"You're going already?" Woojin looked at Miri and girl nodded in response. "It's Friday, my father set me another blind date again. I need to go if I still want to live off of him."

"Again? You could just live on your own, you're a surgeon," Woojin said. "Yah, my life is expensive and I can't survive just with our salary. I'm going, take care of her," Miri sighed and glanced at Chayoung who was dramatically put her head on the table. If it weren't for her father, Miri would have stayed and pestered Chayoung until her friend tell her what was going on.

Woojin shook her head and watched Miri walked out of the room, then he turned to look at Chayoung. He knew something was off because for the past three weeks, his friend wasn't as cheerful as usual. She barely touched her food and she would always looked worried.
