Chapter 13

Friday 20th August 2021

"I didn't call you to mock me okay I need help" Maya groaned to her best friend who was laughing on the other side of the FaceTime call "She literally lived with you Maya she has seen you at your worst you can figure out what to wear" Andy said "Please can you just stop for a second and help me" Maya asked "Okay she said casual but nice right" Andy asked "yes it would help if I knew where we were going" the blonde said "Yeah but you don't so just get up and walk to your closet" Andy said. "These" Maya asked pulling out a pair of blue jeans "Yes they make your ass look good" the brunette confirmed nodding her head "Oh wear that white top the one that shows off your cleavage a little bit" Andy said.

"You don't think that is a bit much for a first date" Maya asked "No" Andy simply replied shaking her head "Is it cold outside" Maya asked nervously "Okay I feel like you are putting all your first date nerves into your outfit and there really is no need to do that so just take a breath" Andy said trying her best to calm her bestfriend down "Take your tan coat, if you don't need it just leave it in her car" the burette said "Okay" Maya replied letting out a deep breath "Don't choose shoes yet just wait till she comes to pick you up and see what she is wearing and then you can match" Andy said "You're the best" the blonde said "I know I have to go everyone is almost here, we will be here all night so if you want to drop by during the night you are both more then welcome" was the last thing Andy said before hanging up on her bestfriend.

"Okay it's going to be fine" Maya said to herself checking the time to see how much time she had left "Okay an hour I can do my hair and makeup in an hour" the blonde said confidently quick to walk into her bathroom. 45 minutes later she was finishing up her hair when her phone buzzed "Leaving my place now see you in 15" Carina said "Okay drive safe" Maya replied. "Okay I need just" Maya said looking around for her keys and wallet coming across the piece of paper on the bench that both of them had to sign "I'll take this to show her later I guess" the blonde said shrugging her shoulders and slipping the paper into her bag.

"Coming" Maya called out walking over to her front door opening it to reveal Carina stood in black jeans and a white top "Wow you look stunning" the blonde said looking down to have a sly look at Carina's shoes, she was wearing a pair of black flats. "I just need to grab my shoes and then we can go" Maya said "These are for you" Carina said handing the blonde a bouquet of multi coloured tulips "Oh wow these are beautiful thank you" Maya said taking them off the brunette and walking towards her kitchen to put them in the vase.

"Ready" Carina asked as Maya slipped on a pair of tan shoes to match her coat she slipped over her arm "Yeah ready" the blonde confirmed walking back over to the door locking it behind them as the two walked to the car. "You had another meeting with Bailey this afternoon" Carina questioned as she opened the passenger door for the blonde to get in "I did" Maya confirmed allowing Carina to shut the door and round the car to get into the drivers seat "What did she say" Carina asked "Let's not talk about it just yet I promise to tell you later okay" the blonde said reaching over to grab the brunettes hand lacing there fingers together.

"Is this okay" Carina asked gesturing with her head to there hands "It's okay" Maya confirmed nodding her head with a smile that the brunette is just as nervous as her "Why that face" the brunette asked "I haven't seen you this nervous since you told me you had feelings for me" the blonde replied "yeah well you make me nervous" Carina simply replied "so do you" Maya agreed  nodding her head. "Alright we are here" the brunette announced parking in the car park "A car park" Maya questioned "yeah we are going to have our first date behind a restaurant and dumpster dive for food" Carina answered seriously "I know you are joking but you said that very seriously it's got me a little worried" Maya said concerned "Get out of the car" Carina said laughing before getting out of the car herself and rounding the car.
