Chapter 25

Friday 24th September 2021

"Morning pretty" Maya said running a hand through her girlfriends hair as she laid on her side and watched the brunette sleep "Ugh what is the time" Carina groaned pulling the pillow over her face to block the light coming into her room "It's 8" the blonde said "Why are you awake" the brunette asked "I couldn't sleep any longer I am nervous so I went for a run got you some coffee and breakfast from the little cafe down the road so do you want to wake up for it" Maya asked "So much energy so early in the morning" Carina huffed rolling away from her girlfriend.

"Carina" Maya said chuckling "What" Carina asked "Come on" the blonde asked "Okay can I drink and eat it in bed though" the brunette questioned "You can" Maya confirmed jumping out of the bed and running into the kitchen grabbing both of their coffee's and breakfast before running back into the bedroom before you could say your full name. "Can you take a breath please" Carina asked sitting up against the head board "I'm sorry I am just nervous" the blonde said "I know you are but you don't need to be, it's going to be fine" the Italian said leaving a kiss on the blondes cheek.

"Are you ready to go" Carina asked "Yeah" Maya confirmed running a hand through her own hair and checking herself out in the mirror "Okay let's go bambina" the brunette said holding her hand out for the blonde who was quick to take a hold of it and lead her out to the car. "How far do they live" Maya asked "Only 10 minutes we can walk back home if we have to much to drink and then come back and get my car tomorrow" Carina replied "Okay baby" the blonde said nervously bouncing her leg up and down Carina quick to place her hand on her girlfriends thigh and give a reassuring squeeze.

"Okay let's go" Carina said as she climbed out of the drivers seat of the car and rounded it to be stood next to her girlfriends side "Okay" Maya said letting out a large breath "It's going to be perfect okay" the Italian said nodding her head softly "Perfect" Maya confirmed nodding her head slowly taking a hold of her girlfriends hand and walking up to the front door the brunette knocked on the door not even 2 seconds later the door flew open and Carina's mom pulled her daughter in for a tight hug "Bambina oh I missed you" Lucia said pulling away from her daughter and holding her face in her hands "I missed you as well" Carina said a tear slipping down her cheek.

"Mama this is Maya my girlfriend" Carina said "Maya this is my Mama" the brunette added introducing the two "Maya so nice to meet you" Lucia said pulling the blonde in for a hug "you too Mrs Deluca" the blonde said "Lucia please" the older Deluca said. "Come in come in" Lucia said stepping to the side watching her daughter reach for her girlfriends hand both women giving each other a soft smile before walking into the house "Drinks" Lucia asked "Si" Carina said nodding her head "Maya would you like a glass of wine" the older brunette asked "Yes please thank you" Maya replied with a smile.

"You okay" Carina asked moving her hand to her girlfriends lower back "Yes all good" Maya confirmed "Where is papa" the brunette asked confused "He went to the shops to get some stuff for dinner" Lucia said "Is he okay with this" Carina asked "Yes bambina he is fine" Lucia said nodding her head slowly.

"I'm home" Vincenzo said in is native language coming through the front door with bags of shopping "Papa" Carina grinned seeing her father who was quick to place the bags down and wrap his daughter in a hug "Is this the new girlfriend of yours"  Vincenzo asked "Yeah Papa this is Maya, Maya this is my father" Carina said introducing the two "Nice to finally meet you sir" Maya said holding her hand out "You as well Maya" Vincenzo said flashing Maya a fake smile before picking the groceries back up and walking into the kitchen.

"See wasn't so bad" Carina said placing her hands on her girlfriends hips "It's been two minutes" Maya said nervously chewing on her bottom lip "Bambina breathe okay it's all good, my papa is going to cook do you want to go outside and lay in the sun and have a swim" the brunette asked "Yes please" Maya confirmed looking around to make sure they were alone before leaving a kiss on the brunettes lips.
