Chapter 1
Raleigh's POV

"Ugh!" I grunt as Antony flips me onto a training mat.
I get up quickly and spin, practising my new moves that Jace and Luke have taught me.

It has been six months since Addison sent us back in time.
Since then, Ashton and I have been training our asses off, learning everything we could about Shadowhunters, and looking for clues about Addison.
So far, only two of those events have been successful.

Antony makes an incoherent swear, and tries to grab my legs and flip me again.

"Nope on a rope," I tease, kicking at his side, pushing him onto the mat.
I pin him, winning.

"Haha I win," I say.
Antony chuckles, before doing an almost invisible flip, pinning me to the mat.
"I win," He repeats, bending over to kiss me.

I kiss him back, pulling him closer, when the doors to the weapons room bang open.
We break apart, jumping.

"Ewwww," Ashton says.
"Stop making out with my sister," Adele adds, chuckling.

Antony flips the two of them off, standing properly.
"What do you need, sister?" I ask, putting our training gear away.

Adele and her parents adopted me a few weeks after the battle happened.
I took my rightful last name, Herondale, it fitting as if I had bore it from the beginning.

"We are heading downtown, and are going by Ashton's place," Adele replies. "Wanna come?"

I nod.
"Sounds good. We were finishing up anyway."
Antony nods.
"I'll come too, if it helps."

The three of us nod.

"Let's go," Ashton says.
She takes her girlfriend's hand and leads the way out, with Antony and I following.

We walk down the street where my old apartment complex is.
Ashton leads us inside, and we split up, Antony and I going to my old place.

I unlock the door and pass through the empty space.
It is just bleh now, as if all the happiness has been sucked out of it.

"This used to be all happy and colourful," I whisper.
Antony wraps his arms around my waist, hugging me.
"I know," He whispers into my hair.
"Maybe a new mundane family will brighten up the place."
"Maybe," He replies. "But the apartment won't forget the kind and love your family gave it."

I grab the for sale sign and sigh, looking around.
Antony takes my hand and leads me out.
I shut the door behind me, locking the door for the last time and leaving the sale sign on the door.

"Let's go," I say.

He leads me downstairs, and we reach Ash's apartment.
I overhear faint crying, and knock lightly.
It opens a minute later, Adele at the door.

"What's going on?" Antony whispers.
"Ashton's moms are having another breakdown," Adele whispers back.
"Oh," I say.

Adele opens the door more, allowing us to sneak through.
Antony goes and hides out with Adele, in Ashtons room.
I walk into the kitchen where Fran & Nina are holding Ashton, sobbing.

"Oh, Raleigh," Nina says.
She stands up and wipes her eyes, pushing the glasses that were on her nose back up.

Fran stands as well, blowing her nose on a tissue.
"I'm sorry that you have to see us like this," She says, running a hand through her long, brown hair.
