Chapter 35
Raleigh's POV

After the ball, we all know what to do.
All the party guests had left, letting all the main residents have the Institute to themselves.

We pack, converse, and more packing.
To make sure we got everything.

Addison's unconscious body is brought back to Ashton.
She is watching Addi like a hawk. 
A very pissed hawk.

We greet Tessa, Will, Lucie and James in the hallway as we lug everything out.

"Are you leaving already?" Tessa asks, with Will's face dropping.
"Leaving?" James asks, confused.

"We're from the future, James," I say, chuckling.
Adele giggles.

Lucie and James's jaws drop.
"Oh my-" Lucie says.

I nod.
Antony pulls out the compass.

I walk over to Will, giving him a big hug.
He hugs me back.

"I will be back before you know it," I whisper into Will's ear.
His blue eyes widen.
"Really? When?"
"Right after the first time we left," I reply.

Will nods, and I move on to hug Lucie and shake James's hand.

"Be smart with your girl choices," I tell him quietly. "Don't trust the Blackthorns."
James nods, processing the new information.

I look at all of my friends.
They're ready.

I set the compass on the ground, and we all held hands.
The device spins, and we leave the 1900s.

We land at the New York Institute, amid a big chaotic moment. 

"Does this have to happen every time?" Ashton mutters.

Jace and Clary run in, a worried look on their faces.
"Adele! Raleigh!" They say, hugging both of us.

"Are you alright?" Jace asks, scanning for injuries.
All of us nod.

Clary notices Addison.
"Is that-"
I nod.

"Could you come with me to the Silent City?" Ashton asks. "That's where she needs to go."
"I can send her there," a voice calls from the infirm.

We all stick our heads in there.

A warlock with blue hair is on a bed, bleeding out, with a worried Shadowhunter and a young girl leaning over them.

"Olive?" I ask.
They nod, coughing.

Tessa runs in with Jem and Mina.
Zachariah follows.

They all have med-kits.
Tessa summons a portal. 

"Follow me with your sister, Ashton. Adele, you follow too."
She walks in, the three of them in the group following.

"Everyone else but Olive, out!" Jem calls.
We all scamper out.

It is pure chaos.

The new Shadowhunter holds the little girl's hand gently.
They look nervous.

"Are you okay?" Rosalie asks.
"I'm just worried for Olive," The person admits. "We're dating. And this is my daughter, Kahlen."
Kahlen shyly waves at both of us.

Rosalie chuckles. 
"Olive will be alright, what's your name?"

"I'm Ahren," They answer.
"Nice to meet you," Antony says.

Ahren smiles slightly.

"How did that happen?" I ask.
"We raided Addison's headquarters. Saved all the children she was brainwashing. A shadowhunter and a vampire went rogue. Meg and Eleanor."

The twins are both pale.

"I blew up the place!" Lissa calls from the main room.
I blink, not surprised.

Jace runs past, with Clary in tow.

They're great people. But it's not for me.
Will is more family to me than they are.

I glance at Antony, and he knows.

Kahlen tugs at my arm.
"I have something for you."
She hands me a bag.

"Thank you, sweetie," I say.
Antony pulls his twin and follows me to our room.

"What do you mean?" Rosalie asks, baffled. "Leave our parents and siblings forever?"

We're sitting down.
She unpacked her stuff, along with Ashton's and Adele's.
Antony and I haven't.

Antony nods.
"It's your choice, Rose. I'm going to go with Ral. I love her. I am going to tell everyone goodbye soon anyways."
She nods.

I see tears forming in her eyes.
This is hard for Rose.

Antony is her perfect other half.
That's what twins are.

"The triplets will need an older sibling, Kier," Rose finishes.
I nod.

Antony sniffles.
"I'll see you another day, sister."

He wraps her into a bear hug, before walking out.

I find a pen and paper, and write out my farewell message.

Dear Friends and Family,

It's Raleigh and Antony. 
The two of us are deciding to use the final compass to transport Kier and me back to the London Institute. Before Clockwork Princess takes place.
Ashton, Adele. Stay together. Please.
Ash, I love you so much. You are my best friend.
Adele, you are an amazing sister.
Jace, Clary, Luke, Magnus and Alec, you guys are amazing role models.
I won't forget any of you.
I wish you luck.
