"Sam, it's not happening. Drop the whole thing, would you?" Alex asked her friend in an annoyed tone.

The whole bunch had been creating stories in their head ever since Jay and Alex started talking. They insisted the two were perfect for one another. But Alex saw reality for what it is. He lived almost three thousand miles away, if not more.

"Jalex." Ren whispered. The bunch of girls started giggling. Ren had always been one to push the issue. Though I'm sure Sam didn't just ship it, she luxury cruised that shit.

"It's been a full five months. Admit you like him." Sam said, nudging the taller girl.

A blush crept its way onto Alex's face. She wouldn't dare admit it. Jay had a girlfriend he loved. Why would he throw her away for a girl like Alex? Well, the better question would be, who wouldn't?
