It was beautiful, to say the least. Sam wasn't allowed to see it yet. The girls, I, Sam's parents as well as Ren's had helped make this what it is.
Mike was setting out drinks in the field to the left. He said it's his 'secret invention'. To be honest, I'm a bit scared.
Ren set out the last few chairs with Adia behind her, setting pamphlets on each. My OCD kicked in and I shifted the whole front row so it was even with the other side.
Vic's parents were in Sam's room, probably marvelling her dress. They're very high class, it's almost shameful.
Arms wrapped around my waist, as lips connected with my neck. Shivers crawled down my spine and back up. There's only one man alive that could send electricity like that through my body.
"Jay," I had to keep my voice steady. "Not now. There's literally fifteen minutes till it starts."
"I can do a lot in fifteen minutes." He said, suggestively.
"I'm not going to be one of those stereotypical bride's maids." I ducked my head as another kiss was directed at the sensitive part of my neck.
"But babe." He whined.
"But no. I still love you though." I said, turning in his arms and placing a kiss on his lips.
He mumbled a response against my mouth, that I didn't really pay attention to.
"Come on you love birds." Adia said, arm linked with Andy's.
The height difference between Andy and her is astounding. I thought Sam was short- not until you put Adia next to a six foot four man.
All the girls gathered in Sam's room. She gave a disk to the dj. Vic and her came up with a few songs instead of having the normal ones. I can't say I blame her. Jay and I are making our own playlist as well.
We all lined up, ready to go. Jay appeared at my side, linking our arms together.
"You look beautiful." He whispered in my ear. A blush flooded my cheeks. No matter how much I didn't believe it, he always made me feel like I was.
Mayday Parade lyrics started up, snapping me out of my trance. Sam's dad walked her down the isle. Her little sister, Taylen, was the flower girl. Her brother, TJ, was the ring bearer. I've known the kids since they were born.
By the time the song had ended, we were all standing in a line next to Sam. The boys stood in a line next to Vic. I'm surprised we managed to work this out.
The pastor said the words necessary, and left the two to say their vows. Vic was a little choked up, whereas Sam was bouncing like a small child. I couldn't help but chuckle at the sight.
Rings were exchanged, the fate sealing kiss was shared, and cheers broke out.
I immediately found Jay's side. I'm not good in social situations. Let's hope he can pull me through this in one piece.
----
The reception, well it was something. A confused mass of bodies is how I would describe it. Jay and I found our seats near the others. Everyone else had round tables scattered here and there.
Once everyone was settled, Sam's mom got up, said a few words, then dismissed us to get food. That's one thing I'd never pass up.
Jay pulled me towards the table. It wasn't as bad as it was earlier. Things were a bit organised now, or either people got the jist of what was going on.
We sat back down and shared small talk here and there while eating. You Me At Six played an upbeat song through the speakers. I can say she chose a really good playlist.
