"Pack your bags, bitch!" An all too familiar voice yelled, waking me from my precious sleep.
We all had been up in the late hours of the night. Graduation was last night, and my friends can throw one hell of a party. My head was pounding. I didn't get drunk, I just had a wine cooler here and there.
"What for?" I groaned. If she woke me up for no reason, there'll be hell to pay.
"Canada." She said, a smirk evident in her voice.
At first, I was overwhelmed with confusion. Why on Earth, of all places, would she want to go to a frozen wasteland? There's only one useful thing out there. Wait, she's-
I didn't think she was completely serious. She told me she was, but damn. I give her props for keeping the promise.
"You're set on this Jalex thing, aren't you?" Instead of an answer I got a duffel bag thrown in my face. I'll take that as a yes.
I've never left the country before, what are you supposed to pack? All I had in there was clothes and a few hair products. What's even in Canada? I didn't think anything existed out there.
She continued to rush me along, as if we had somewhere to be. Oh, wait.
"Ren, Adia, and I are already packed. Hurry yourself up." She said, picking up my bag and taking it to her car.
My friends are some weird creatures.
Forcing myself, I pulled a brush through my hair working out the knots. I can't look like complete shit when I'm about to see my best friend.
Jay and I have talked non-stop. As well as the girls. They still have this fantasy that I'm going to fall in love with him. That'll happen the day Sam marries Vic, her one and only true love. Her obsession with him could be classified as unhealthy, depending on the doctor.
"Smile a bit. You're going to see your bestie for the restie." She said, way too preppy-like.
"What if he doesn't want to see me?" I asked, setting my brush down.
I'm not sure where the question came from. But I have a feeling it's been on my mind for some time now.
She just frowned, and dragged me to the car. I guess she's really excited.
The first stop we made was Ren's house. She hopped down the stairs with the 'Kick Me' shirt on from her fifteenth birthday. Now that I saw that, I noticed Sam had her Pierce The Veil shirt on. I feel out of place.
When she threw her many bags in the trunk, we left for Adia's. As usual, she had a band shirt on as well. A Black Veil Brides one to be specific. Adia only had one bag. She usually carries light. Which I guess would be a good thing. I'm pretty sure Air Ports have bag weight regulations.
"Sound off. Ren? Adia? Alex?" Sam called out. We all answered with our custom call. Again, we're weird creatures.
Sam pulled onto our exit, after an hour or so of driving. I'm astounded she's going to ride an air plane. All the while I've known her she's been petrified.
Adia appeared at my side, pulling her suit case alongside us. "Nervous?"
"Is it that evident?" I asked sheepishly.
She smirked and ran ahead. These girls will be the death of me.

Yeah, it's super short. But things won't start picking up until about Chapter 3.
