Xander:

I don't know what came over me in that moment. It was the only way I saw out of the mess I was in. I stare into his eyes trying to read his expression, but only seeing shock. Asher... please at least say something....

Asher puts his hands to his face as he begins to cry. "Y-Yes... I-I will...."

I stand up and scoop him up in my arms. "You know, you can be such a girl sometimes." I whispered.

He buried his face in my shirt. "I-I thought you hated me... why did you do that?" He asked trying not to cry.

I pet his head. "I am truly sorry. My dad found out that I went with you instead of Duke and I got in a lot of... trouble. Then my brother Dustin is a freshman this year, and he will do anything my dad tells him to, so I had to stay away.... I'm sorry, my puppy."

Asher started to shake in my arms. I couldn't tell if he was crying or scared or angry, he was just shaking. "What's the matter, puppy?"

Asher finally pulled away... and was smiling. "Nothings wrong... it's just that... I... I... Xander I love you."

"Oh, Asher. I love you too." I say as I pulled him in for a kiss. I let him go and reached for the door to unlock it. "We should really get to class."

I heard the click of a stall unlocking then swing open. I look back to see a brown dog with floppy ears. He looked as though he had just woke up. His eyes widened once he saw us. "Hi. Do you know what class period it is?"

Asher pushes past me. "Hey, Kahanamahad, I believe it's still first period."

The dog smiled. "Thanks Asher."

I walk out of the restroom as they started talking. Don't need Dustin to see me with dogs, what a train wreck that would be. But it won't matter for too much longer.

I have a plan.
