Things with my dad didn't go so well... I left that house limping and made my way to the nearest hospital. After I finally got checked by a doctor or nurse or whoever, I find out that I have two fractured ribs, a fractured arm, with a busted lip and bruises and cuts everywhere. Well at least nothing was completely broken.

I was finally able to leave around midnight after coming up with a bogus story about tripping down a flight of stairs, and realized I had nowhere to go. I didn't have a phone, dad had already taken it a few months ago, and I didn't know anyone's numbers or I would just borrow a stranger's. Not having anyone else to turn to, I start walking to Asher's house. I just hope I can stay there for a little while.

After what seemed like forever of hobbling and taking breaks, I finally made it to Asher's house. I didn't know how late it was so I sat down against the door and watched as the clouds went by, flowing so freely.

A moment of realization hit me and I couldn't help but laugh. I... I was finally free. It felt as though the giant weight had been lifted and I could do anything.

Taking a deep breath I struggle to get to my feet before knocking on the door. I waited for a response and then there it was... "Asher..." I breathed out, practically falling on him when I went to hug him.

Asher stumbles back with the sudden addiction of my weight. He pulls me to the couch and lays me down. Staring wide eyed at me he asks quietly, "What the hell happened to you?"

I smile at him. "Good to see you too. So, do you think it's okay if I like went to sleep here? First time I've gotten to rest all day."

Asher looks me over, noticing the cuts and bruises. "O-Okay, but you have to tell me what happened when you wake up."

I smiled at him. "Of course. Goodnight."

"Goodnight." Asher whispered as he hesitantly made his way back to his room.

The couch became very comfortable very fast and I felt myself drifting off to sleep. This isn't the exact situation I had in mind, but I guess now...

Ash and I are living together... more or less. Funny, never thought it would happen like this.
