After my little 'incident' I got two weeks of ISS. It also got me sent home early....

Mom did not look happy when she walked in through the office doors. She simply motioned with her hand for me to follow.

She didn't say anything the whole way home. It was eerily quiet, and the tension was thick.

Once we got home she parked in the driveway and turned off the car, but didn't get out. The silence was finally broken when mom spoke, "I don't care what you did, why you did it, or how much trouble you're in." She looked at me with soft eyes. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want too, but just remember I'm always here for you." She strokes my hair. "You've grown up so much...."

Mom's eyes began to water so I wrapped my arms around her. "I'm sorry mom." Was all I could say before my throat tightened.

We sat there for a couple of minutes before finally getting out of the car. We walked inside to an empty house. Well, I thought it was empty until Rose walked around the corner with a spoon in her mouth and a tub of ice cream in her hands.

She smiles at us before tip-toeing over to the couch and sitting down. Mom shakes her head. "What am I going to do with you child?" Then slightly louder she states, "I have to go to work kids, so don't forget to go pick up Jeff and Koby from the bus stop." She said as she was walking out the door.

Once the door clicks shut, I plop down on the couch next to Rose. She offered me a second spoon, which I graciously accepted. "So... wha'd happen?" Rose asked licking her spoon.

I sighed, taking one more bite. "Well... Xander broke up with me an-"

"What?! Xander broke up with you?! Why?!" She interrupted.

I look into the tub of wonders as I take another bite of ice cream. "I don't know why. I mean, he stopped answering my calls and texts, but I never thought he'd break up with me...."

Rose put the tub of ice cream on the coffee table before standing on her knees and giving me a hug.

"Uh, Rose, you don't gotta hug me like that." I know she was trying to comfort me and all, but her boobs where in my face.

She squeezes tighter and I could feel my face getting hot. "Rose!" I say while trying to push her off of me.

"Shh, shh, everything's gonna be alright. No need to struggle, just embraced it." She said as she petted my hair.

We both froze as we heard a knocking at the door. Rose awkwardly let me go to go open the door. When I looked back at her she hadn't moved a muscle. It was so funny looking I couldn't help but burst out laughing as I opened the door.

I looked up to see a shocked Dani. I looked at him confused. "What are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be in school?"

He gives me a sly smile. "Well, I don't have a seventh or eighth period class, and your house was in walking distance from my house... so yeah."

I smiled at him and gave him a big hug. "You where worried about me. I feel so loved." I pull back to see that his face was now red. "Oh, sorry, come in Dani."

I shut the door and sat back down on the couch. Rose had gone to the kitchen for who knows what else. I motion to Dani for him to come sit down next to me. He sits down so nervously, I don't even know how he managed to do it, but he did.

We sat there quietly as Rose rummaged through the kitchen. Feeling awkward already, I pick up the ice cream tub and continue to eat more. Dani was watching me so I offered him a bite. "Here, I'm not sick or anything."
