The Next Day

Xander:

So I'm in the cafeteria, looking for Asher. I should apologize for yesterday... I hope he'll forgive me.... I sit down at the table closes to me. Still no Asher.

I turn to the female cat that was sitting next to me. "Do you know Asher?"

She stared at me wide-eyed. "Y-yes. W-we have a f-few cl-classes together."

I gave her a smile. "When you see him could you tell him Alexander is looking for him, please?"

She nodded her head rather nervously. "Yes mister."

I chuckled at her comment before getting up. As I start walking to the band hall, the bell rings and I have to turn around and head for the stairwell. There was a big crowd so I just stood back and waited.

Asher:

So I'm standing here next to the band hall door, looking for Alexander. That bastard how could he just do that to me? Oh, but I hope he'll do it again. I look inside and see a few people talking to each other. Still no Alexander.

A white mouse, that's slightly shorter than me, was walking towards me. I moved so he could walk out the door then I tapped him on the shoulder.

He got out the way of the door then turned to look at me. "Yes?" He asked.

"Do you know Alexander?" I asked sheepishly.

He nodded. "Yes, why? Do you need to talk to him?"

I look down at my feet. "Yes, do you by any chance know where he might be?"

The mouse smiled. "I have a couple of classes with him, I can't tell him your looking for him, just tell me your name."

I looked the mouse in the eyes with a big smile. "That'd be great! My name's Asher. Thank you-uh, what's your name?"

He held out his hand. "They call me Duke."

I shake his hand. He has a strong grip for a mouse. "Thanks, Duke."

I let go as the bell rang. I turned around and headed for the stairwell.
