Taming of the Lion (boy X boy)

Sand Castle

Xander:

"One! Go, go, go!"

Everyone took off at the same time. I was a little startled and almost fell. I run, following everyone else's lead. "Stop running and start building!" I heard someone yell.

I skited to a halt. I look around to see people pulling up sand to form walls. I start pulling dirt up around myself, getting it up to my stomach before I'm hit in the arm by a rock. "We got a noob!" I hear Uncle Billy call.

"Plan your feet, and build up your walls, Xander!" Abigail yells at me.

I cover my feet with dirt and make it solid to were I couldn't move. Then I pulled up move sand for my walls and made it tall enough to cover my back. I crouch down and start building the actual castle. Getting dirt from outside the wall.

When I just get finished with the structure of the castle I hear a bullhorn and someone yelling, "Times up! Stop and drop your walls!"

I stand up and release my grip on the walls. They slowly sunk down.

I look around and see only a couple others still standing. Gramaw Daisy walks to each of us and nods her head. "Billy, Aleshia, and Xander advance to the third round! Off to the second round!" She waves her hand and the sand becomes flat once again.

In the second round Abigail is one of the three kids to move on, of course. The other two where Jeff and a goat named Madelyn.

Everyone lined up for the third round and Gramaw Daisy started the count down. "Three, two, one, go!"

Since I knew what was going on this time, I took off with everyone else. I stopped away from everyone else and keeled down to not be hit by anyone. I got my castle finished by time someone yelled stop.

I stood up and saw that only Abigail, Uncle Billy and I where still out here. Gramaw Daisy went to each of ours and nodded her head after she was done with her inspection. "I have reached my decision. In third place," she waves her hand at me. "Xander! In second place... Abigail! And in first is Billy!" 

Everyone was cheering and a crowd formed around Billy. Abigail had somehow made her way over to me in the commotion. She looked really aggravated. "Xander!" She sounded very dissapointed. "You were suspposed to beat Uncle Billy!"

I crouch down to be face to face with her. "I'm sorry Abigail. I've never played this game before, I didn't know what to do."

"I don't care." She pouted.

I give her a sympathetic look. "How bout if I beat him next time?"

Abigail crossed her arms. "That was the last game for elementals...." She lit up all of a sudden. "But there's always next year! You'll come next year and beat Uncle Billy, rght?"

I pat her head. "Of course I will."

She hugs me and then runs off after a couple of kids playing tag. I stand up and start to look for Asher. I wonder what Asher's power is?
