Mizuka awoke to Iruka getting dressed. She rolled onto her side, resting her head against her hand watching him.
"Were you going to leave without saying goodbye?"
She could tell that she startled him a little. He looked at her, grinning.
"Of course not."
He knelt on the bed, leaning toward her, kissing her passionately. He still didn't have his shirt on, so she took the opportunity to run her hand over his muscular abdomen.
"Thank you for last night. It was incredible. You're incredible."
She giggled.
"You were pretty great yourself. Thanks for a good time. Oh, wait..."
She leaned over, carefully picking up his headband from the bedside table. He seemed surprised when she respectfully tied it on his head.
"There, now you belong to the shinobi world again."
She kissed him again, speaking softly to him.
"If you'd like, you can come back tonight. You'll be here until tomorrow anyway. But, don't feel like you have to-"
"I'll be back tonight. I promise. And I'll get to see you for most of the day, I hope. I'm a lucky guy. I have to do a few things this morning, and I'll come by the hospital."
Mizuka's heart fluttered a little when he said that. She pulled him into herself by his flak jacket collar, kissing him deeply.
"I'll see you then."
"I'm looking forward to it."

Mizuka arrived home after her shift at the hospital. Since she was spending most of her shift caring for Iruka's teammate, it was kinda nice to get to chat with him for a while as she treated his friend. Luckily, his teammate had woken up in the afternoon. He would be well enough to leave for Konoha tomorrow.
She had left the for the evening, giving report to Mikaru, who was on duty after her. Iruka needed to speak to his teammate about the mission, and Mizuka wanted to take a warm bath and get ready for her date tonight.
After about an hour, she heard a knock at the door. She eagerly jumped off of the couch, straightening her dress out, and answered it. Iruka stood on the front step with a bouquet of flowers in his hand. He gave her a big grin.
"Hey, Z."
He handed her the flowers. She graciously accepted them, smelling their sweet fragrance.
"You're so sweet. Please, come in."
He stepped inside, looking more confident than last night. Mizuka took the flowers to the kitchen, putting them in a vase of water.
"These are so beautiful, Iruka. Thank you."
She felt him come up behind her, putting gentle but unsure arms around her waist.
"You're welcome."
She turned to face him, running her hands down his jacketed chest and then back up, cradling his head in her hands gently, making him shudder in anticipation and making her giggle.
"You're so sensitive..."
Pushing him up against the kitchen counter, she unzipped his flak jacket slowly so she could run her hands under his uniform shirt. He held onto the kitchen counter, moaning gently.
"Your hands feel so good..."
"Do you want to talk first, or fuck?"
He ran a hand through her hair gently.
