"Hey Haru, Where's Iruka?"

Anko seemed to be in a good mood this morning. They had been snowed in, and then had the entire weekend. It had felt like a lifetime since she had been at the Academy, and a lifetime's worth of events felt like they had happened Haru grinned, thinking that Anko must've had a good Valentine's Day as well. She sighed.

"He's still not feeling his best. Valentine's Day was awful, including him falling on ice and busting the back of his head open. He has a pretty serious concussion; serious enough that he threw up all over himself and then passed out. I had to stitch his head up."

She sat at her old desk and put her head down, covering it with her hands. She heard Anko's voice.

"Okay, now I need to know the entire story."

Haru sighed, recounting the story in full one again. Anko leaned across her desk, hanging onto every word. When she finished, Anko looked as if she had been through a roller coaster of emotions with her.

"Wow, that's a hell of a story. It's actually pretty romantic."

"You think so?"

"I do. So many women are taken out on Valentine's Day and their partners confess their love to them or are proposed to. It's over played. No one has ever ran out into a snowstorm to save me. And then you nursed him back to health and cuddled him while he confessed his love for you while you were both snowed in. Sounds wonderful..."

She gazed off, daydreaming, until Mizuka walked into the office.

"Hey, all."

She made her way over to Haru's desk.

"He's fine, Haru. He's sleeping soundly. You did a great job stitching him up. Where did you learn that?"

Haru felt herself blush a little.

"I've had years of practice on myself."

"You're very good at it. You could teach me a thing or two."

She looked over at Anko, grinning slyly.

'How was your date?"

"It went very, very well. She left this morning, actually."

Mizuka's mouth fell open.

"Ooh, girl! Did she let you lick the kitty?"

Anko blushed and laughed.

"I pretty much lived between her legs for the last three days. It was heavenly. How was your Valentine's Day?"

Mizuka's face fell a little bit.

"Not great. I just got word that my Sensei isn't doing well. Lady Suoh is elderly, but I've never imagined having to lose her. Maybe I've just never wanted to think about it. The kids watched a movie with Kakashi and I cried in the bedroom. He got the kids in bed and came to bed and held me while I cried some more. I needed it out, and he supported me."

She shrugged sadly, continuing.

"I guess it is what it is."

A kid walked into the office, breaking up their conversation. Mizuka stood up from leaning over on the desk.

"Anko, do you want to grab a drink later? I feel like I haven't spoken to you in ages. Haru, of course you're welcome to join us as well."

"Yeah, I'm free."

"I appreciate it, but I think I'm going to head straight home and see Iruka after work."

They both grinned at her.
