Chapter 19

Allegra's POV

Feeling soft hands shaking me I grumble.

"Allegra wake up" This isn't Sharon's voice. No. This voice is masculine.

"Five more minutes Leo" I mumble and turn over as a welcoming scent hits my nose. Food.

"I'm not Leo. Wake up... Princess" The voice says again.

I feel as if my whole heart stops beating at the nickname that only one person calls me. Ace.

I spring up and my eyes meet his. I practically jump into his arms and he holds me. Is this real? I thought I would never see him again. Not after I saw him bleeding back in that warehouse.

Wait, if Vince was serious about not hurting Ace then he should have been free to leave whenever he wanted. So why did he fight Octavia to keep him?

"I missed you too" He breaks the hug staring into my eyes and I frown.

"You left me. I blamed myself this whole time and you were alive. Why would you do that?" I pull away from him fully and finally notice Vince standing in front of the door with a tray of food in his hand. He lays it on the bed and says nothing.

"Eat quickly. We need to talk." He mumbles the words before leaving.

"I had no choice. It was the only chance I had where Sharon didn't have her eyes on us. I did it so I could build another life then come back for you all." Ace's hand cups my face but I slap it away.

"So you could come back for Octavia. Is she also a part of your sick scheme? Is she on your side?" I ask and Ace shakes his head quickly.

"No. Of course not. She's loyal"

"I'm not dumb.... I noticed the change, the coincidences. She started sneaking out every six months. Then it became every three months. Vince was always one step ahead even if I had a plan that I only told her about.... At first I ignored it." I shake my head and stand up walking away from Ace and towards the other side of the room.

"The secret phone calls, the fact that we are at the same hotel..... God this has been going on since the start and I trusted her too much to look into it. And you?" I point towards him.

"You were never on my side. All of you were always against me from the start"I start to raise my voice. "That original six shit never fucking existed because I was excluded from the start....."

"No Allegra you don't understand..."

" No, I understand clearly. You all betrayed me. Everyone. Each one of you and I have fucking no one to rely on. But at least I have another family since this one doesn't want me" I'm shouting at him and tears run down my face as Roman and Vince walk into the room with confused looks on their faces.

I point at Vince. "You are a fucking liar. Were you trying to get close to me just so you can have an advantage at winning this war? You all are traitors and were using me."

"What are you talking about?" Roman steps towards me but I step back.

"Ace what the hell did you tell her?" Vince turns to him with his fists balled up.

"You need to calm down" Ace ignores Vince's accusation and reaches out for me.

"And Rome..... You are the most disa-fucking-pointing one out of them. You did business with Leo...." He did business with Leo. He did business with Malachi. He knows Malachi.....

"Did you and Octavia set me up to get kidnapped?" He has a look of confusion on his face but he was always a good liar and manipulator. Wasn't he?

"You know... At first I thought that Malachi was watching me for a long time... That's how he got that footage of what we did at the club on my birthday. It'll only be a matter of time until the whole world sees it and everyone comes after me."
