Chapter 10

Octavia's POV

I was listening to Allegra when I heard her call out.

"Vinnyyyyyy! What do I owe the pleasure? I missed you so much" I hear the sarcasm in her voice and almost laugh.

I hear her diss him a few times before she screams to what seemed like a liquid being poured over her. A few seconds later I hear the earpiece being taken from her but not turned off.

They talk about torture and I get up about to save her when I hear her call out to someone.

"A-Ace" Her voice is strained and I freeze.

No. Ace is dead. He would never let himself be captured. He would never leave me behind.

I wish it was a lie but hearing him say "Don't do it Allegra" confirmed it was him. Even two years later I remember his voice. I remember it perfectly.

I call Sharon and ask her how to proceed. She tells me to clear out the area and have some of the men put tracking devices on the trucks in the hanger in case they leave. I give the orders waiting for her to say something about Allegra.

"And Allegra?" I ask.

"Let her try to make the switch. She is strong enough to survive and get in contact with us if she is taken. Vince will either take her or let her go. He won't kill her though. If he does then he knows nothing will stop us from bombing everyone inside" her voice seems confident and I nod my head despite her not being able to see me. I hang up and head back to my men.

"You four" I point at the men talking and pull out eight tracking devices. "Put these on the large trucks in the hangar and try not to get caught.

I switch out the government's own with mine. I want to get to Ace without them knowing.

They run off discreetly following my orders.

"You two" I shouted at another two men. They ran to me immediately.

I hand them two sets of car keys. "Bring me my car now" I told the blonde haired guy. He runs off immediately.

"And you." I pushed the keys into the brown haired guy's chest before pausing, noticing he doesn't have a U.S flag on his clothes.

I pause before pulling out my gun. He quickly knocks it out of my hand and I kick him in his abdomen.

I pull out a knife from the band around my thigh and throw it aiming at his throat and to my surprise he catches it.

My men quickly realize what happened and all of them aim their guns toward the man.

"Who are you?"

"Greyson Malik" his voice is deep and I start to recognize him.

He's annoying..... but he's hot.

"I should kill you right now"

"Well before you do that I have a suspicion"

"Which is? Talk fast"

"That you care about Ace probably more than Allegra does." I stare blankly at him pulling another glock from my waistband pointing it at his face.

"I think that Ace is trying to contact you. He showed up out of nowhere and I didn't know about him until Vince brought him in tonight." He shrugs.

"That means he has secrets. If I didn't know better I would say that Ace isn't a prisoner but a friend." I keep my blank stare.

"I also think that you've already figured that out haven't you?"

I shoot him in the thigh then raise my gun back to his head. "Are you saying that Ace faked his death and betrayed me on purpose?"
