IMAGINE BEING A HOGWARTS STUDENT WHO KEEPS A LOT TO THEMSELVES BUT BEFRIENDING RON WEASLEY AFTER FINDING OUT YOUR PERSONALITIES ARE VERY ALIKE.
Other students watched as you walked down the hall. You barely had talked during these three years of school, you didn't have actual friends but that didn't seem to bother you, which only made you weirder in eyes of some students. You were like a ghost, just walking there, not really paying attention to anyone and no one paid attention to you. You were never rude to anyone, you just didn't talk much, you didn't try to make friends.
Pair assignments were the worst in your opinion, because you had to look at your pair being nervous how they should treat you - and Ron Weasley was no exception. He was fearing that he would spook you if he talked too loud, so he just mumbled things to you, trying to be careful. Hermione had told him that he should be discreet, at least at first, so that he did.
But his carefulness paid itself back as usual - and soon he knocked his ink bottle over and it spilled on his face and shirt. His face became red on that instant, and you did something you rarely did - you let out a giggle and your lips curved into a wide smile. Everyone in class stopped what they were doing and turned to look at you, even McGonagall seemed to stop for a second, but she quickly gathered herself together and told everyone to get back to work.
"Sorry." you bit your lip. "That just looked so funny."
Ron blinked at you, not believing that he had just gotten you, Y/N, to smile. But then he shook his head and smiled himself too. "Oh, I'm just clumsy."
Silence again, as you made some notes. After a while, you couldn't help but mumble, "you don't have to act like I'm made of glass, you know. I just don't know how to express myself much... my social skills aren't very good. I'm lonely sometimes, but that's how it's always been so I'll manage."
Ron sighed. "Sorry... I'm fearing I'd hurt you somehow."
You smiled a bit. "You won't, don't worry."
And with that, you started talking a bit more. You told him about yourself and Ron realized that you two weren't so different after all... in fact, you were quite the same. And soon Ron found himself laughing with you like you were old friends and people around you looked at you as if you were a completely different person - and maybe you felt like you were, the real, better version of yourself, coming out from your shell.

FanfictionAt the moment, I'm out of the HP fandom/not writing for them because of the constant toxicity I encountered with people who interacted with my Wizarding World content/requested anything for it, and I'm unsure whether I'll ever come back. But here's...
