"One day at a time is all we should be dealing with. We can't go back to yesterday and we can't control tomorrow, so live for today."

It was silent as the door shut.

Pure and utter silence.

Silas didn't know what to think. The girls liked them. All of them. Him and his brothers all had flirtatious banter going on with the girls. It was hard not to with James's bold personality and Sang's easy quips.

They both made everything feel so natural.

Them entering the family, becoming friends, it felt as easy as breathing.

He felt like he had known them forever.

He didn't know what to expect when Sang first knocked at his door. Her blonde hair clipped back away from her heart-shaped face, those big green eyes staring up at him looking completely and utterly scared and confused. Only for Victor and Kota to pop up beside her smiling widely and announcing their prank.

Introducing the stunning blonde as Kota's new neighbor and saying that she would be joining them for their day at the mall.

Then James came out of nowhere running into Sang and taking to the group with ease. A cute lopsided grin across her lips, unruly red hair framing her pale face. Those grey-blue eyes making him lose his breath.

Not half a day of meeting them and they were already causing trouble getting harassed by Greg-Silas knew he should have plummeted him that day.

He shook his head, Greg was a whole different issue.

And they got along with his family. His brothers. It was always hard for them to accept new people. Yet the girls....they understood. They knew hardships and they didn't let that break them. Instead, they used it like a weapon-wielding it like a sword or shield.

It was the pain behind Sang's green eyes that was written plain as day. How every move she made was written across her face. Every emotion she felt flickering across her features making her as easy to read as a book.

James...she was harder to read. She hid her emotions, redirected the conversation, altered everything to mask her pain. She tried to hide but there were moments. Moments when he saw just how much she bared the world.

They both kept pushing.

He admired that.

So yes Silas had a crush on them. How could he not? It was easy to like them. It was hard not acting on it. Every hug, every handhold, every moment. He just wanted to pull them into a kiss.

Every time he told Sang a silly pun and she giggled looking up at him with a pretty smile and shy eyes, he imagined silencing her giggle bringing her in close, and kissing her pretty lips.

And James...he wanted to kiss her too. Wanted to put her taunts to the test and give her a taste of her own medicine. Make her speechless.

Yes, he liked the girls.

The girls who had a crush on him.

Part of him was happy at their admission. Relieved even because he'd been stuck in his head. Wondering what it'd be like to take James on a date, or Sang or-
