The next time James woke up she was less tired and more focused, her body was still taking a toll from the panic attack but she had gotten a lot of rest.
She yawned she stood up from the bed doing some stretches to help loosen up her sore body.
James cracked her back, wiggling her arms and jumping up and down a couple of times to help herself wake up.
She noticed her phone on Kota's bedside table and her eyes widened, it was late 8:30 in the evening. James must have slept the whole day and night away.
Her face turned into a grimace she needed to get more than a few hours of sleep each night it seemed to be taking a toll.
She bit her lip, as she thought about what's happened in the previous days. Meeting Sean, learning about the boy's real reason for coming to school, Gabriel and the other boys helping with the aftermath of her panic attack. She still wasn't sure about the way the boys were so adamant on helping her but she guessed that she would take well it lasted.
James shifted on her feet unsure if she should leave Kota's room or stay put. Her stomach rumbled deciding the answer for her. James moved through the house silent as can be carefully making her way down the stairs into where the kitchen was located.
She figured she would grab something small simple, already feeling bad she was getting anything without permission.
James tried to look through the cabinets she grabbed a bowl and a spoon, she remembered where Kota had opened the utensil drawer for Sang's tea.
She pulled milk out of the fridge and checked the cabinets to find some cereal. Frowning when she realized it was on the top shelf.
She pulled herself up onto the cabinet standing so she could reach the fruity pebbles, she had almost got it fingers grazing the box when a voice startled her.
"What are you doing!" the boy's voice was deep and demanding slightly gruff she kept her balance perfectly as she raised an eyebrow at him. Coming in contact with dark eyes glaring back at her.
She pointed at him, "What are you doing?" she questioned arms folded against her chest, hip jutted out "yelling at someone without announcing yourself what if I fell huh?"
His eyes narrowed further "You shouldn't be up there in the first place."
"Why not?" she asked hiding a teasing smile.
He sputtered voice harsh "You could get hurt! " he exclaimed. "What are you even doing up there?"
"I wanted cereal," James shrugged grabbing the fruity pebbles and jumping off the counter.
"Don't do that! You could have broken an ankle shouldn't you be on bed rest?"
"You're just a big bear, aren't you? Gruff and menacing on the outside but looking out for others watching their back. Cute. " she patted his chest coming in contact with hard muscle making her flush "oh dear lord."
He smirked at her and she took in more details of his face he was tan and looked about as tall as Silas his hair was a dark brown almost black and it made his eyes seem that much deeper. He smelt like musk and that's when Jameson realized it must have been his shirt she was wearing if that didn't get her blush going any harder.
She squirmed slightly picking back up her cereal and jumped back on the counter sitting criss-cross bowl in her lap.
"You shouldn't be eating that stuff, " he said his lips tilted down as he crossed his arms.
James frowned looking at the fruity pebbles, she hadn't had them in so long and she really wanted them. "oh, do you think Kota will mind?"
"I-no," he seemed unsure of his words before shaking his head mumbling under his breath. She watched as he moved in the fridge taking out various fruit and washing them. "It's just not good for you is all, you could take anything in this kitchen and Kota wouldn't mind."
