Friday"You can be the moon and still be jealous of the stars..."
"Well hey there hot stuff," James stretched as she walked out of Nathan's room.
She was sad to find she was alone when she woke up. North must have left sometime in the night or maybe she just didn't hear in in the morning.
She stumbled slight tugging on the pants she was wearing to keep them up. The clothes she was wearing of North's were way too big on her but god were they comfortable.
Nathan was sitting in the living room scrolling through his phone. He perked up when he saw her standing there he was already dressed in the Academy required uniform the boys had to wear. The white button-down shirt looking really good on him.
"Good morning Rosie," Nathan said, "I was just coming to wake you if we don't want to be late you better get dressed."
James groaned, "I tryed getting ready but my hair is a force to be reckoned with," She turned holding up the brush that got caught in her curls. "Now my hair is a frizzy mess and I am no good at braiding."
Nathan winced as she tugged the brush harder but there was no budge. He moved over to her patting her hand away, "Your gonna hurt yourself gosh Rosie." He murmured she was surprised when he took the brush she felt him carefully threading out her hair. "Do you mind?"
"Mind what?" She questioned trying to turn her head but he shifted her so she was looking forward. Nathan then started gently brushing her hair combing through all the knots she acquired during the night.
She wouldn't admit it but she had been up from nightmares. She hated how childish she sounded coming to them asking for help. It seemed with each passing night they just got worse.
"I'm not much of a braider either but I did Jessica's hair once or twice when it was longer," Nathan said gently. "Gabe could fix it for you at lunch."
"I'm sure whatever you do is better than me," James joked trying not to shift on her feet. It was still odd...having them do things for her.
"There," He said softly.
James brought her hand to her head running it over the braid. Her hair was long she needed to get it trimmed soon.
"Do you think Derrick thinks I'm a freak?" James questioned her voice sounding odd. She didn't mean to but she was fighting detaching herself from the scenario and dealing with her feelings.
She didn't know Derrick. They weren't friends. Yet she could still picture his eyes piercing on her wrists roaming over the marks that littered her arms.
"Your not a freak James," Nathan said seriously. "You've been through a lot of hardship-"
"So haven't you all but you didn't-" James licked her lips. "I just-"
"It doesn't matter what he or anyone else thinks," Nathan said seriously. "We would never judge you. Were not leaving you."
James glanced down, "Even if-"
"We're. Not. Leaving. You." Nathan said firmly his hands running up and down her arms. "You don't give yourself enough credit.
No, James thought. They all gave her too much.
"I better go get ready."

James ended up wearing one of Gabe's shirts a bright Orange button-down and a pair of leggings she even stole Nathan's tie since he said he wasn't going to wear it.
