Chapter forty nine
karl's pov

My eyes widened at Teegan's text message.
He kissed her? I quickly replied dryly, I mean what was I supposed to do? I hated confrontation..I couldn't go over there and face them. She said she ran away but now they're hanging out again? I trusted Teegan, but how was I supposed to feel, I was so angry at Corpse..I felt betrayed, I mean, when we found out we were together he continued to flirt indirectly with her, but..I didn't think he would actually try anything..I really was a floor mat to him.

I picked up my phone and quickly texted the boys, creating a whole separate groupchat without him.

The boys 2.0 cause who likes Corpse

quackman: karl wtf is this..?

mcdreamy: Corpse has been..ejected from the group?

gogy: :o why?

honkman: Corpse kissed Teegan.

nickelodeon: uh i joined at the wrong time..what?

mcdreamy: what?

honkman: he came all the way out to NC because she's been depressed and he kissed her tonight.

quackman: WHILE YOU WERE THERE?

honkman: no. Teegan hasn't wanted to see me lately, and she told me that he kissed her. She said she pushed him away. Guys, what am I supposed to do?

mcdreamy: im disappointed in him to be honest

quackman: to be fair, he's been simping for her since we met her..

nickelodeon: please do not defend the man. Karl why would you even let him NEAR HER. HES A SEX GOD. I can say that right?

honkman: come on guys. What do i do. You're not making me feel any better.

mcdreamy: Teegan's a good girl, she wouldn't ever do anything bad..

nickelodeon: until he grabs her by the neck and..

gogy: karl what're you doing at home? Show up. Yell at the man, what the hell.

That's all it took. I shut off my phone and grabbed my keys, rushing out, not even saying bye to Grey. I got into my car and I gripped the steering wheel with anger as I began driving to Teegan's.

I walked into her dark house, Jake running to my legs like usual. meow. I petted him and began making my way upstairs, to her bedroom.
I reached my hand to the creaked door and paused as I heard Teegan's voice.
"Corpse..don't say that.." She spoke softly, I furrowed my eyebrows as I continued to listen in, hoping I wouldn't blow my cover.
"Why? I think you know I mean it. Its true." He responded, "I don't care..I think you're doing great."
I rolled my eyes having enough of this, I pushed the door open, standing before it as it creaked open.
Both their eyes met mine as they sat across from each other in her bed. "Oh hey Karl." Corpse spoke out first, I rolled my eyes stepping into the room.

"Don't hey Karl me. Why are you kissing my girlfriend?" I spat out, Corpse got up, sighing,
"Karl im sorry..I didn't-"
"I don't want to hear it. You come here, while she's vulnerable to cheer her up, and end up kissing her? I don't believe it. How can you do that? To me and her. She's not in her right mind right now, she can barely look at herself in the mirror." I shouted, Corpse nodded, "You're right, im sorry."
"I think you should just go back where you came from Corpse. We don't need you here. I'm disappointed this is the circumstances we're meeting under."
"I didn't come her to seduce her or anything, I want to help her, we already got over it, I understand you won't as easily and that's fine, but im not leaving just yet. Teegan needs me." He shook his head, turning to Teegan, she continued to stare at me, not a word coming from her mouth, I scoffed, "Oh so now it's Teegan. That's cute Corpse..so tell me, how did you even manage to find a moment to kiss her while you tried to cheer her up?"
Corpse grinned to himself, his gaze looking at the floor, he looked back up at me,
"I took her to the bathroom, held her in front of the mirror and I touched her pretty hair and complimented it, and then I pointed out her facial features, and then once I was done, I turned her towards me, and we stared into each other's eyes as I told her how beautiful she is, and then, I kissed her..it felt like the right thing to do in the moment."
I felt my jaw clench as I imagined this in my head, I didn't know what was worse, that he kissed her or that he just told me in detail how he tried to make my girlfriend fall into his pitiful trap.
"Corpse, please, are you trying to make him madder?" Teegan spoke up, she climbed out of bed and looked between the both of us.
"Both of you..please, calm down."
"No T, he was taking advantage of you. He knew you weren't yourself, that you needed uplifting and once he did that, he tried to use it to his advantage." I looked into her eyes, she sighed, Corpse looked to her now, "No, I kissed you because I like you, and we were having a moment, you looked so pretty and I felt heart struck. It's not fair that he took you from under me!" I laughed, snapping my fingers to corpse for him to look at me and he did,
"She never liked you! Even before we met! You were friends and only friends, when will you get that into your head Corpse! You have a million other people after you and you had to reach out for one that's taken!" Corpse rolled his eyes,
"I barely had any shot at her liking me back because she met you a week later. And by then she didn't care for anyone else!"
"Even if she did, she wouldn't have bought into it, because Teegan doesn't like guys like you!"
"Guys like me? Seriously? What's so different between the two of us. So im a bit more advanced than you, cry Karl, sorry you're an awkward shy guy. And I'm the one who told you to get her out of town while the internet blew up about her. Not you. I tried protecting her, I'm the one who told you what to do. You barely know how to cheer her up when she's depressed, you're so bad at it, I flew out here to do it for you! but you're doing great as her boyfriend!"
"Well im sorry the internet is making her believe I could never like someone like her. I've been doing my best!"
"You're just not trying hard enough, you-"
"Oh my god, shut the hell up! Seriously? This is your idea of cheering me up? The both of you, fighting about who's better than the other? For gods sake's, Karl, I understand you're upset, I was upset too, and Corpse, low blow man, but oh my god, way to make it about the both of you right now. Why don't you just both take your energy right now and put it into making me feel better, not making me feel worse. I'm going to go on a drive. You two, yell all you want. I'm getting out of here!" Teegan shouted as she stormed out of the room, leaving me with Corpse. I scoffed as I looked over at him, I couldn't believe he just made things worse for us.
