Chapter fifty

"Karl, all i'm saying is, if you really were a good boyfriend she wouldn't be this sad." Corpse continued as he paced around her bedroom, I rolled my eyes, tired of hearing his crap.
"Corpse, please. You don't even know the half of it. I can't control her depression. All I can do is try and make it better, I can't cure it by calling her pretty, and neither can you, you're not a magic man. She needs actual support, with time, not just words." I shook my head, "You know what it's like to be depressed, why're you trying to play it cool."
He sighed, "You're right Karl, im sorry."
"Now we just made her more upset. I've been meaning to tell her something huge.." I mumbled, Corpse furrowed his eyebrows as he sat next to me on her bed, "What have you been wanting to tell her?" I shrugged, "It's not important. What's important right now is how we can make it up to her for both of us being idiots.."
"Yes, but also what are you planning on telling her? Did you do something stupid?" I turned my gaze to him, "Seriously? Me?"
"Right. What's the news?"
"I want to tell her, that I love her.." I ran my fingers through my hair nervously, no idea why i'm telling the guy who betrayed me as a friend, but..here I am.
"You love her? Wow.." Corpse placed his hand on my shoulder, "Why don't you tell her?"
"Because I want her to feel better first. Her being like this isn't the way I want her to find out, I want her to realize what she's worth first. Me loving her shouldn't be the thing that distracts her from the way everyone else is making her feel. All I want to do right now is what I did for her when we met, I want us to go on a date and get flustered cause we're so nervous, I want us to lay in her bed and watch survivor like the first time we did..I want everything we used to have. She needs me right now, and i'm doing a bad job, you're right I am." I sighed, Corpse shrugged, "Its okay. You're trying your best. She knows that, don't worry Karl."
"I am, I come here everyday, I help her with her laundry, I get her out of bed to eat, we do the dishes together. I make sure she showers, Im trying, I really am, she..she just doesn't deserve to feel this way. It breaks my heart. I think, she just needs a sense of normalcy, with her account being deleted and everything, she needs to get back into her routine, doing what she loves. I think we should do that for her tonight..maybe she'll finally get a sense of herself again." Corpse tapped my thigh, "Karl yes."
He got up, "Come on, let's set up her pc, and then..we can get the boys to join a call, so when she gets back they can play together and we can just watch her, as if she's streaming." I nodded, hurrying to join him to set up her streaming room.

Teegan walked into the house and Corpse and I sat at the couch, both of us looking up at her.
"T! We have a surprise!" I shouted, rushing to her side, she looked at me emotionlessly and I pulled on her hand, making my way to the staircase.
"Karl I-"
"Teegan, shut up." Corpse cut her off, I pulled her into her streaming room and motioned for her to sit in the chair, she rolled her eyes and sat down, I grabbed her head set and placed it onto her ears.
"Hi Sulley! Or should we be calling you Teegan now?" George's voice made Teegan smile,
"Anything you'd like Gogy."
"How about karl's girlfriend. How are you going to break the internet with this news and disappear from us?" Dream shouted, T laughed,
"I don't know..im sorry."
"You better be. We missed you a lot!" Nick shouted, Teegan turned to corpse and I with a soft smile, "thank you.." She mumbled,
"Uh you're very welcome!" Quackity then chimed in, causing her to chuckle.

I turned to Corpse with a half smile, he smiled back at me, I was still really mad at him, he put me down in front of my own girlfriend like it was nothing. We needed to have a big discussion about this, but not right now, Teegan was all I cared about right now, not Corpse. I just wanted her to feel some kind of happiness. "I wish Karl and Corpse were playing with us too.." George then spoke out,
"Gogy don't say that. I bet Karl kicked Corpse's ass after he kissed his girlfriend." Quackity laughed, "Corpse and Karl can hear you guys.." Teegan chuckled nervously,
"Wow, Corpse you really have some balls going over to steal Karl's woman." Dream shouted, I grinned to myself, "No one better show up to dreams trying to kiss him!" Gogy added, "We're not streaming. You dont need to sell dnf right now.."
"Who ever said it wasn't real!" Dream chuckled.
"I think Karl is better suited for Sulley. Everyone agrees." Nick chimed in,
"So Sulley is Corpse very handsome like he plays off or is he like, sort of average?" Quackity asked her, she chuckled, "Average.." I began to smirk and caught a glance of Corpse who rolled his eyes.
"AHAHHA, CORPSE IS AVERAGE!" They all laughed in cue.
