Chapter fifty two

"okay, I have to go pick up Grey, and my pjs, i'll be back in a bit.." Karl said goodbye to me as we stood by my front door, "I don't want you to leave though." I mumbled, Karl chuckled, leaning in to press a kiss to my cheek, "I'll be back soon." He opened the door and left, shutting it behind him. I swallowed hard as I began to make my way back to Corpse on the couch. I sat myself awkwardly away from him, my eyes looking over at him curiously, he watched adventure time with peace, his eyes then looked into mine, a small smile placing itself on his face.
"It's just us again gorgeous.." He shuffled himself closer to me, I rolled my eyes looking over at the tv. I was grateful his flight home was tomorrow, thankfully he didn't plan a whole week here..
"I'm so obsessed with you Teegan.." He said my name with such a heavenly tone, it made me stiffen, I didn't want to hear this though, I shot him an uninterested look and he frowned to himself.
"Maybe we should talk Corpse.." I mumbled, causing his eyes to flutter back up to me. "About?"
"The way you're feeling, just everything, getting it out into the open, instead of slyly flirting with me while Karl is around, let me hear it all, right now, so you don't torture him anymore." I pursed my lips, Corpse grinned, raising an eyebrow,
"So you want to hear me flirt with you, right now."
I shook my head rolling my eyes,
"I want you to just ramble, ramble away so we can finally move on from this..weird awkward flirting thing you have going on.."
Corpse rolled his eyes, "Why do you have to make it deeper than it is."
"Corpse, please.." i scoffed, he turned his gaze back to me and shrugged.
"Teegan, if that's what you'd like..fine. I think you're sexy, not only that but you're beautiful. You're smart, you're unique...in the kitchen today I wish I could've bent you-" my eyes widened and Corpse stopped himself, "I thought I had more of a shot with you, I honestly did, I know I have to move on, we're friends, i'm glad we are, but i'm also really not, because every time I hear your name, I shiver, I would get on my knees and beg just to have you, but that won't happen. I will get over this, but in the meantime, I wont stop flirting with you..Karl didn't when he knew I liked you, so why should I?.." He shrugged, looking into my soul with his eyes,
"You have no idea what I want to do with you.." He stared down at my body and I slapped his arm, "Stop. You're gross.." I rolled my eyes,
"And you should stop because it makes me and karl uncomfortable..I'm sorry you feel like Karl stole me from you, but you know that's not what the intention was, he only found out who I was once he liked me..if anything you should be mad at me for not giving you more of a shot..right?"
He nodded, "Maybe you're right. Not about you though, I could never be mad at you..."
"I still really appreciate that you came down here..and that you told Karl to take me away..you're a great guy Corpse..I know you are. Thank you for caring so much.." I placed my hand on his and he smiled to himself, looking up at me slowly,
"The next girl I fuck, i'll be thinking of you."
I pulled my hand away from him in disgust, smacking his arm again, "Corpse please, that's disturbing!" He began to chuckle and I rolled my eyes.

"Im back!" Karl's voice interrupted the adventure time on the tv, Corpse was asleep beside me, not touching me at all surprisingly, I looked up at Karl and smiled widely, "Hi. hi Grey!" I shouted, reaching my arm to pet him before Karl placed him down.
"Corpse is asleep? what the heck.." He began to make his way over to me, I wrapped my arm around his body as we got closer to each other.
"I missed you." I told him, he kissed my head softly, "I missed you too T."
"Did Corpse get weird, while I was gone?" He suddenly asked me as I got lost into the show, I shrugged, "Nothing unusual. Once he's gone..I wanted us to talk.."
"Should I be nervous?" He asked softly.
This was going to be big, it was, but I couldn't make him start overthinking it right now, I just wanted us to enjoy the time we spend together right now.
"Don't be.."
"Okay good. I have something I'd like to speak about with you too m'lady.." He brushed my hair with his fingertips, I smiled to myself, "Okay fine sir."
