(when reading this poem I want you to keep in mind that I am referring to when neurodivergent individuals have to hide, suppress or 'mask' their symptoms to fit into society's standards for them and not wearing a mask to stop the spread of covid)
Mask
I don't want to mask
But I need to do what was asked
It's hard to complete a task
Without being able to unmask
I just wanna go back
To before I had to mask
Soon I'm gonna crack
They're gonna ask me why I slacked
But I just want to get a snack
And finally be able to unmask
