Friendship
Friendships always end
Some defend
While others mend the broken pieces
But everything comes at a price
At some point they will leave
You may be too naive
But you have to believe
Some have their reasons too
Others just want freedom
But when one leaves another appears
They want to repair your broken heart
Mend the wounds that the others left open
Help you defend against those who try to bring you down
But both can have unhealed wounds
Both can be a mess on the inside
Both can put on a brave face to show the other that they are strong
But
Both of the friends can be depressed
Others would have never guessed
They would have never thought they were a mess
A mess of unhealed wounds that we left open
Wounds that were not defend
Wounds that cut deep within
I would have never guessed that the love of my life
Was also just as broken as me
But we still have a bond
We still love each other
They want to help my healing mind
While I help her healing heart
an- so this poem is semi based off of personal experience, i lost most of my friends before i started high school and then the rest of us got distanced from each other due to out schedules. but as the end of the poem says you can find someone to help heal you from all the open wounds, and with that i would want to thank my best friend Kaylie (also known as Edward, Sirius Black, Scott McCall and Underoos, all of her nicknames)
love cassie:)
