(I didn't know what to put as the picture so enjoy this random one from my camera roll)
Diamond
She was like a diamond in the sky
Should have never put her on display
To the world around us
It was a miracle I was able to call her mine
Even if it wasn't for that long of a time
Every Friday night we laid in a flower field
And watched the stars shine in the dark night sky
She was always one to be quite shy
But once you got to know the true her
That side was pushed far away
She was able to put a smile on your face
Even during the darkest of days
When even the sun didn't dare to try and show its rays
But no one saw the pain that was hidden behind her dark brown eyes
She chose to hide that side
For the sake of humanity
She never wanted to hurt the ones that she loved
She would rather conceal all of her hurt and sadness
Then see the smile drop from my face
But that one little decision was a cause of all the hidden pain
I only wish I could her laugh at one of the stupid jokes I made
But it's too late
If only I didn't put the diamond on display
Maybe she wouldn't be in the sky
And here next to me on the chilly Friday night
Watching the stars shine in the dark night sky
