When I see you
All I can think of is the blue ring
he got me
While we walked around the city
Trying to find a clue
Of what to do
With only one tennis shoe and a black hunting boot
You were the glue that kept me together
Told me to change my view on the world around me
Help me pursue
What I dreamed to do
Since I was a kid
It was an everlasting dream
To love someone as much as you love me
And traveling the world
Visiting different cities
Making memories that will last a lifetime
With the man who got me my favorite ring
I can never go a day
Without that special ring
On my finger
I can't go a second without seeing the blue hue
The reflection of the sun makes when it shines through the gem in the middle
You gave me that special ring
When we were only thirteen
Asked me a promise
That went like
"Do you promise to stick by me all throughout our adult life"
Of course I said yes
You were my very best friend
It all happened
That one gloomy day
That we sat alone in the back of the loud lunchroom
Now we're almost twenty-two
You asked me to marry you
That one dark and rainy day
When the sky was almost a dark blue color
And we were walking around Park Avenue
It was out of the blue
It was a surprise
When you got down on one knee
With a ring box in your left hand sitting perfectly on your left me
That day was almost 12 months ago
Now all I want to tell you is
Whenever I see you
All I can think about
Is the everlasting love I have for you
And the Beautiful blue hue
Made from the ring you gave me almost eleven years ago
