"Hey Sam." You picked up the phone.
"Hey kid, how you holding up?" Sam said.
"It's been fun, well sort of you can't really go out during the day. So far I went swimming at night that's pretty much it." You said.
"Well you might wanna leave the microwave for a bit and go to the main beach during the day. Maybe if you're lucky you might get a tan."
"As much as I want to I don't think Steve would like the idea of me leaving Bucky alone." You said.

"Why not? It's not like you're his babysitter. Im sure he can last a couple of hours without you around." Sam stated. You sighed "Yeah maybe I will go. You're right, when is the next time that I'll get to visit San Francisco. How are you and Steve doing?" You asked.
"Things are quite quiet. It's a good thing but it's getting a bit suspicious, I'm scared Stark might have figured out that we sent you out with Barnes, or even worse hydra."
"Yeah or Nick Fury." You added. He groaned "Me and Steve are staying at a motel at the edge of town for now."

You noticed Bucky entering your room. You brought your finger up to your lips telling him to not speak.
"Steve says that you guys might have to stay a bit longer in San Francisco, but it's not for sure."
"What? More? When is this going to end." You rolled your eyes. Bucky sat down next to you on the bed.
"I'm sorry kid, I know you want to go home." Sam said.
"Yeah but mines been blown up, so your home is now my new home," you smiled.
"My home has always been your home." Sam laughed.
"True, and I'm not complaining." Bucky leaned onto you like a cat wanting attention. "Bucky." You whispered, but Sam heard.

"Robot there?" He said.
"Yes," you gave Bucky a glare.
"Tell him I said hi, and tell him to be nice." He added in a stern voice. You rolled your eyes "He is nice Sam. You know I'd tell you if he wasn't."
"Yeah or he could have a knife at your throat telling you to tell me that he's nice."
"SAM!"
"Alright, alright. I'm only kidding," he said. "I think." You facepalmed your head, god Sam was weird sometimes.
"Right then I'll call you again in a bit. And try get out of the house," Sam said "But don't tell Steve, he'll kill us both." Sam whispered.
"Alright bye Sam." You hung up the phone.

You turned your phone off turning to Bucky.
"Really?" You said.
"What?"
"Could you just like wait?" You groaned. He shook his head grinning. He fell onto you again closing his eyes.
"Buckyyy," you groaned patting his back.
"Mm?" He hummed. You rested your head on top of his, fitting together like a puzzle.
"What did Sam say?" Bucky said sounding tired.

"He wants me to go to the main beach." You said.
"Oh. Are you going to?" He looked up shuffling.
"I dunno. I feel like I can't leave you alone."
"Why not?"
"Because I feel like if I leave you, something bad will happen, and I know you can fight and stuff but I just don't want to." You tried to make sense. "But don't get me wrong I'd love to go sunbathing."

"Well I'm sure I'll be fine for a few hours alone." Bucky agreed. "The worst thing that can happen is that I get hungry. Or lonely."
You laughed feeling a bit better about the whole situation. Leaving Bucky wasn't a good idea, it was just a gut feeling that you weren't going to ignore. "No Buck. We can just find something that we can do together without me having to leave you."
"Well you won't have much luck with that Y/N. I can't be seen by like anyone." Bucky said.

You nodded. True but you went to the restaurant and no one seemed to have notice him.
Also swimming at night was very fun, but it was getting a bit boring.
"I'm not leaving you to go to the beach." You said. "But I will leave you to go get some milk and Cheerios and other groceries."
"Don't you need help to carry them?" Bucky asked.
"I think I'll manage. I need you to stay home and not go anywhere."
He nodded. "Alright."
