You were sitting on the couch enjoying the warm weather, sipping on some ice tea. Bucky sat down next to you looking at you. You smiled noticing.
"What are you staring at James?" You teased.
"Oh I'm sorry Ms.Y/L/N, I didn't know looking at you was illegal." He joked. You laughed nodding.
"No but seriously you look worried." He said.
"Of course I'm worried."
"About what?"
"About," you paused "About this," you did a motion from Bucky to you.
"Why are you worried? Everything will be fine."
"Fine? Bucky it won't be fine. Steve will skin me!"
Bucky chuckled "No he won't."
"He sent me to keep you, you know safe and stuff. He trusted me with this and so did Sam!" You said. Bucky put his hand on your shoulder.
"You don't have to tell them just yet." Bucky said.
"Yeah but I can't deny my feelings for you. And denial isn't a good thing. I as a phycologist should know better. Sooner or later they'll have to know." You explained.
Bucky chewed his lip "Well I'm sure they knew this would happen."
You raised an eyebrow "Really? I'm pretty sure they were planning the opposite."
Bucky pulled you into a one way hug, stroking your back "It's ok doll. It's ok." He whispered, planting a kiss on the top of your head.
"What will Steve say," you said into his chest, muffling your voice.
"He won't say anything. It is what it is and it's all fine. He's Steve and well Sam is Sam. Not much I could do about it." He comforted. You buried your face into the crook of his neck.
"Well Sam won't be surprised."
"You're saying it like I'm the worst person you've dated."
"Well ex assassin who almost killed me? I'd say yeah that's the worst." You said.
"Thanks. That really makes me feel better." Bucky said, sarcasm dripping from his words.
"But the hottest." You added looking up at him. "Definitely the hottest." You kissed him. Bucky's eyes widened from your unexpected action, but he kissed you back leaning further in, enjoying every bit of the kiss.
You broke the kiss grinning. He was so red.
"You look like a tomato." You said.
"What?"
"You're so red," you laughed. He looked away embarrassed. "Don't worry, you have no idea how embarrassing it was for me when I accidentally said that I love you." He turned back less red.
"Mhm," he hummed still a bit shaken from the kiss.
"How about," you sat up facing him. "We forget about Steve and Sam, for now, and do something fun tonight."
"We clearly have different understandings of fun." He said.
"How about we order some food and watch a movie. And then we can go swimming late at night, I really liked swimming yesterday, no matter how terrified I was." You said. "We've got to make the most of our stay in San Francisco with our limited options."
"Sounds like a plan." Bucky said.
"Great." You beamed. Tonight was gonna be fun, fun, fun....
