" Define the word power in the way you grew up learning it."

Leaned back into her seat her eyes trailed over the words that stayed typed out on her computer scene. She was already eighteen, and with as much as she grew around chaos she needed her escape too.

"To define power you have to look at it perspectively, because everyone has there own strengths and weaknesses." Her fingers slowly clicked out the sentence as she had stopped. Her brain had fogged as she tried to imagine how she was going to finish this essay.

A soft knock on the door had drawn her eyes away from her computer. She had looked towards the door as it slowly creaked open.

"Hey V, mom said we're ready to head out for dinner." Blake had stood in the doorway a slim bit dressed nicer then usual. He was already nineteen now, mom was a mess trying to realize that her kids weren't twelve anymore. Violet pulled her glasses off her face as she had stood up. Leaving her computer for the night. Family dinner was important after all.

"Hey Blake if you had to say, who is the most powerful person you've come across." Violet states as Blake looked towards her. A little taken back by her question as he had shrugged his shoulders just slightly.

"Well that's obvious isn't it? Sage." Blake states as Violet had nodded her head and looked ahead.

"Why Sage?" Violet asks as Blake had gave a moment to ponder.

"I have a lot of faith in her, she's strong where she needs to be." Blake spoke justifying his response with what he presumed was a solid answer.

The duo fell quiet as they had walked down the corridors headed to the door to head out of the house. Violet pondered the idea of who her possible answer could've been for the question. She had spent her years hidden in the shadows behind most of her peers. She held no real power or hold over the ones who fought harder then she had.

With a soft click of her tongue Violet had finally raised her gaze up, out the door stood the twin counter part to Blake. The other half a grew to know as a brother, he much like Blake matched in finer clothes. She had took a swift take in of the woman she had called her mother for the last few years.

The blonde was a beautiful woman as she had aged. In most cases Violet could agree to the term, aged like fine wine. Though she pressed a lot of stress into herself over the years she had still found time to keep up her own composure. Rescuing her figure over the years, I guess never actually giving birth to kids also helps keep you in shape a bit better.

"Well I will say you three clean up much nicer then when you where younger." Andy's words sparked a small bit of laughter from the small group. They didn't do things like this too often.

Escaping the house for the night, a goodbye celebration for Violet herself. She was off to college by August, soon to fly from the town that shaped her thus far. She knew she was skilled enough to go out into the world and detect the fake friends and escape the horrors of a bad break up.
