Sick, something Brady Garcia hardly ever was. Sick shouldn't have belonged in his vocabulary. Yet here he laid a shivering mess under several blankets while his daughter cried in the next room over. He couldn't risk the possibility of her getting sick at his expense.
"Brady your temperature isn't going down you have to get out from under the blankets." Lily's words had been persistent to getting the boy back on his feet. He felt useless in this moment. A shivering, shaking mess that couldn't take care of his own daughter.
"I know, just," Brady paused a second as the coughs racked through his body. Shaking every nerve as his had attempted to calm the raging fire of his head, "give me a second."
Lily had stuck by his side while Elijah and Percilla had been watching over Amanda. The same little girl who was hollering for her dad from the next room over. He felt a mess not being able to let her come in the room. But he wouldn't risk her health for anything else.
"Alright come on big guy." Lily had rushed the boy let's off of him. The sweat that had collected on his body had turned cold with the air around him as he had shivered. He leaned up hardly, moving as slow as a snail while his head continued its onslaughter of pounding.
"Daddy!" Amanda has escaped the grasps of the two younger red headed Garcia's as she stood in the doorway of Brady's room. His eyes had glanced up to the little girl, her face streaky and red from her cry. The second she had seen Brady the sad face she wore had turned bright.
"Amanda you can't be in here." Lily was making an attempt to push the little girl out, but everyone forgets she was Brady's daughter after all. She slipped through the girls grasp in second and had climbed into Brady's bed.
"Amanda, you can't be here right now." Brady spoke as the little girl gave a very sharp angry face. Her head shook rapidly as she had her arms tightly bound around the man's neck.
"I don't wanna leave you alone when you're sick, you never leave me alone!" Amanda has been clung to the boy as Lily attempted to pull her off. Brady raised his hand as he waved his sister off. Sitting up straighter while the little girl fell to his lap. A short smile pulled onto his lips as he laughed shortly.
"Thank you for wanting to take care of me, but I'm a big kid. Dad's are supposed to help their daughters get better, daughters aren't supposed to help dads." Brady states as Amanda had looked down fumbling with her hands as she had gave a short puff.
"That's not fair! I wanna help." Amanda states as she looked back up. Her green eyes melted the man as he had caved right there into whatever she had wanted.
"Okay how about you got help Auntie Lily with making some soup?" Brady states as Amanda's smile widened the folds before she was off to the red head who stood in the room.
"I wanna help make soup!" Amanda states as she had made grabby hands to the girl.
"Alright we'll be back with soup in a few minutes." Lily states as Brady nodded his head before laying back again.
