Even if it meant doing things that went against his older siblings. Even if it meant he had to be the one thing that kept his older siblings from offing his mother.
"Mommy!" The little boy had come crashing into the room, his father and mother bolting off the bed in a freight from the boys screams.
"Liam what time is it?" His father spoke in a low gruff voice as the little boy had nudged his way onto the bed. In the center between his mother and father. Clinging to his mother's form for comfort. Seeking refuge in the warmth of her embrace.
"Monster in the closet!" The boy spoke in a freight, still shaken from the moments of a nightmare he had been trapped in. Still worried that something would come crawling from the darkest corners of his closet and take him in the night.
"I'll go check the closet." James spoke, even his father knew better. Even with their security, with protocols anyone in this town with a vengeance would come. They'd find a way into the home.
"James it's okay, he can just sleep with us tonight. Don't get yourself up." The woman spoke her hand on the mans arm as he looked back. For a moment her features glowed in the dark, reminding him of his first love. Of how she touched him in that way when their oldest worried for monsters. For a moment he felt he'd be falling back into the arms of his soulmate rather then the woman he had now fallen in love with. But that washed away when his eyes flickered to the boy, a boy who looked so much like him. Who he hoped would never become him.
"Alright Liam can stay in here tonight." James nodded his head as Liam's head hit the pillow, his body still closely pressed to his mother. His shaking form slowly calming down once more as he had drifted off into his slumber again.
"I love you James." She spoke in the quiet of the night, a reminder to the man of who she was. That she was here for him even if she did everything for her son.
"I love you too Lilith." James spoke as he laid his own head back onto the bed. Listening as the girl got her self comfortable once more further from him.

The young boy took off running down the hallway his laughter filled the air as the trio chasing him had a trouble to catch him.
"God this kid runs faster then you Beckett, and you play football." Caroline's laughter carried across the walls as Liam had turned the corner sharply into the next one fucking his head down as he had hid from the trio.
"Dammit lost him again, never to mention we still need to find Alex. Andy start checking rooms. Beckett go left I'll stay straight." Caroline states as Liam listened to the echoing footsteps fall away before he turned to the blonde crouched at his level.
