The girl had tightened her bun, fixing it on top of her head as she had stepped back from the mirror. A quick look at the outfit before she had grabbed her phone. Her heart was beating in her chest. After the recent events that had stirred the house up she was now waiting for the same boy to come over. Well it was more of waiting for him to pick her up and off to the football game. At least get her out of the house that was filled to the brim with tension ready to just spill over.
"Quinten coming to get you?" Her mother's voice had caused many eyes to turn back to the girl as she stepped into the kitchen. She swallowed shortly as she had flickered her eyes over to her uncle. She could still feel the anger rolling off of him for her decisions. She had tugged a short smile on her face as she had taken in a deep breath.
"He's on his way now actually, he said he would -" The girls words had cut off as the front door had been opened. Her eyes widened at the thought of the boy strolling casually into the house. Like everyone in the house wasn't ready to shoot him where he stood.
"What's up Lockharts." The voice made her stomach drop when she realized he had casually walked into the house. She shouldn't have put it past him, she should've just let up with him.
"Is he in my god damn house." Skylar had pushed himself up straighter just as the boy had rounded into the kitchen. Kiara now had wished she was back in New York where there was only five of them in a house. Right now she really hated the feeling of ever Lockharts eyes in her back as her eyes glued to Quinten.
"Hey it's like a big gathering. I've never seen so many Lockharts in one room." Quinten spoke as Kiara's mouth had hung opened. How he couldn't read the room had complete shocked her. How he couldn't see all the faces ready to snap his neck had also surprised her.
"Quinten it's lovely to see you again." Kiara thanked her mother for edging off the silence. She let a short breath out as Kristi had smiled slightly. Kiara was thankful that her mother had been friends with Cameron or else this would've made the situation so much worse.
"What's up, look at that what's up to you too pops." Quinten a voice had caused Kiara to shut her eyes. Her glance hardly flickering back to her uncle then her father. Neither looked pleased but her uncle looked worse then her father at the moment.
"Let's go." Kiara states her head down as she stepped past the boy who still wore the smile on his face like he didn't know what was happening in everyone else's heads.
"Hey you tell your twin that I still think him and LJ are butt fucking." Sages voice states as Kiara had looked back, Quinten rolled laughter off his tongue as he gave a thumbs up.
"Oh you got it. I'm sure Max would love to know you still believe that. If I'm being honest with you, I one hundred percent believe it to." Quinten spoke as Kiara had felt the tension lessen in the room. She had swallowed as her eyes looked back.
"Would you stop looking at him like that." Kiara's words snapped out. Skylar has kept his looming expression before Jessica's hand had come up to wack the back of his head.
"Jesus stop looking like you want to kill the kid. Seriously Sky you're being a fucking dumb ass. The kid isn't his father, that's like saying your kids are you." Jessica states as she had crossed her arms over her chest. Skylar had huffed out of his nose. Kiara knew well enough he wouldn't change his views. Her hand had reached down grabbing Quinten's hand as she had kept her eyes locked to the man's.
"We'll be out then, I'll see you later mom, dad." Kiara states as she had turned around.
"You have her home before eleven." Her fathers voice called out as Kiara had continued to pull the boy back to the door. Once she was outside she had let out a relived sigh.
"I really think they like me. I don't know what you where so worried about." Quinten states as Kiara had huffed her breath before she shook her head a short smile on her lips.
"One day you'll be the death of me Quinten Love." Kiara states as they had headed towards his car.
