ADELAIDE
I stand in front of the mirror, after drying my wet hair. I had been up since the break of dawn and went to the beach and train with Aislinn. Then after hours of merciless and vicious trainings, we both came back to the camp and had our breakfast with the rest. Now I'm all cleaned up and refreshed. I run my fingers through my wavy shorter hair that curled up in the edge.
I'm satisfied with the way I look. My burgundy top hugs my figure correctly. My sea blue shorts was once Fiona's but she said that it would look better on me and gave it to me. I wear my signature blue boots, that I'd been wearing since the day I stepped into the Glade.
I take a deep breath in and stretch my lips wide. Hyping up myself to go through the day, and not let the sad and soppy thoughts back into my mind, I slip on Chuck's bracelet into my wrist.
Just when I was going to pick up my quiver full of arrows from my bed, a knock comes from the door.
"Come in." I call.
The door opens to reveal my boyfriend, smiling at me with teeth and all. I smile back instantly. I sling the quiver across my body and open my arms for him. Newt smiles, and welcomes me to his arms, hugging me tightly, leaning down to rest his chin on my shoulders.
NEWT
I look at us, hugging, from the long mirror and smile slightly. As I pull away, my hands goes to her hair and I cup her cheeks. I look down at her, with worry surely visible in my eyes.
"Are you okay now?" I ask her, reminding her of the incident yesterday. I don't know exactly how it happened. I had gone out for patrolling at the end of the camp. When I'd come back, I find everyone looking very uncomfortable. Frypan immediately ushers me to my and Addie's room where I see Brenda, Aislinn struggling to hold a furiously out of control Addie, who was fighting to reach a perturbed Tommy, who was being pulled back by Fiona.
I immediately understood that she was hallucinating.
Now a days, Addie rarely has her episodes but when she does, she goes to extreme, trying to hurt anyone in sight. And sometimes even herself.
In the end, Vince had no choice but to knock her out. We know it is very dangerous thing to do, but when Addie is on a rampage and we can't shake her from her hallucinations, this is the only thing we can do.
She gives me a weary smile, probably remembering the episode too.
Surely, Addie's mental state is improving. I can see her smiling often and those smiles aren't fake anymore. Her dead and hollow looking eyes are slowly regaining her usual mocha brown colour with my favourite silver sparks.
