Maya rubbed her eyes in a faint attempt to drive away the drowsy state. A numbing pain inside her brain. A slow ringing going around her eardrums. She picked up the phone, crossing her fingers as her little heart called out for Areum. Kwon Areum was beautiful. Kwon Areum was making her heartbeat. The same frequency she felt when she bumped into the strablnger the other day.
Why did she remember both of them at the same time? Those biceps, doe eyes, long dark hair. What about Areum's pale skin, pink cheeks, eye smile, slender figurine?

=>If I wanted you to know who I am, wouldn't I just use my real name?

Maya rolled her eyes. The text reeked of arrogance. She wanted to ignore the text, but felt a magnetic pull towards it. Her finger slowly trailing on the keyboard.

Whatever! Listen, I ain't talking to any weirdo. So you either tell me who you are or I ignore you forever. It's your choice.

Can you ignore me now? I'm irresistible.

You are just annoying!

And you're still talking with me
I mean no harm at all. Trust me. I don't know you, you don't know me. We will just talk and won't reveal any single detail about us till we gain each other's trust. I swear!

Maya couldn't close the chat. She felt a sudden string attached. She felt interested.

Well, what are we supposed to talk about then?

We can talk about emotions. We can talk about vague TMIs. Preferences and playlists. Anything except things that give away details about us as humans. Not as souls.

Maya paused. What is up with her? She is talking a stranger. And she felt nice about it. A part of her wanted to continue. While the other part didn't even bother to disagree.

Whatever! I just woke up so I need to freshen up. So bye Bunnyboy!

Okay Illusion
Wait!
How do you know I'm a boy?

Exactly! How did she know that the texter was a boy? Damn her instincts!

I don't know.
I just felt as if you were a boy.

Maya logged out. She was feeling a pull towards the texter. One more text and she would maybe even accept him as her friend.
No! Only Areum is her friend. Pretty Areum.

•Pretty Areum sent you a text

Maya rushed to the phone. A smile creeping up to her lips. A pink hue taking all over her cheeks. She bit her lower lips to suppress the feelings rising through her veins.

=> Maya, I know we were supposed to meet. But I can't. Sorry. Love ya!

She felt her heart shatter. What was happening to her? Areum maybe is busy. Maya felt a sense of longing. Wanting to meet Areum right now. Wanting to see her smile. Lomging for someone who can never be more than her friend.

Maya rechecked the lock. The keys jingled inside her jeans. She plugged in her earphones. Jamming to music. That's all she could do now.

She walked past by a field, feeling lonelier than ever. The streets were never this lonely before. Was it just her? Or was there something wrong? She didn't think much. Three people invading her mind. Kwon Areum. The doe eyed boy. Lastly, TokkiKookie. Why was she feeling some sort of attraction to three people at once? Why was she even feeling like this in the first place?

"Ma'am! Please wait!"
Maya felt a tug on her hands. She brought her fingers closer. A red string hanging from the ring she wore. Where did it even come from?
She looked around, to find the voice which was calling her. The voice summoning her soul. A voice so soothing.
His hair flowing in the wind, his eyes laced with worry. The same doe eyes. Maya felt as if her heart was going to burst. Areum was nowhere inside her mind now. It was only the doe eyes she sees every night. The doe eyed man who saved her that evening.
She had bumped into him just a minute earlier. She didn't look at him back then, she was way too invested in Areum. But now... He was the only thing nagging inside her heart.
"Ma'am, I'm terribly sorry for this string."
Maya looked at the red string, both ends tied to each other. As if connecting them. Maya stood there, her eyes scanning his intricate features. His smooth skin, long straight nose bridge, his  pink lips. His dark locks bordering his heavenly face. And lastly his doe eyes. Giving an innocence to his otherwise sharp features.
"Ma'am?"
He cocked an eyebrow, poking his cheek with his tongue. Maya fluttered her fierce cat eyes like a lost deer. He laughed, seeing her. He found her cute. Her sharp and confident features softened by her actions.
He scanned her in the short amount of time. Her skin warmer than honey, her lips plump and red. Her messy locks giving her another different aura. The brown cat eyes hiding something deep. She had some sort of a foreign beauty. A sort he was unaware of.
"Yeah, it's okay sir."
"May I?"
His touch was warm. His fingers taking hold of Maya's. He took a step closer. She felt her cheeks go warm and red. She looked at the taller figure dawning over her. He just smirked. Bringing his lips closer to her fingers, his eyes on her. Maya was way too flustered to notice the mischievous shadow dawning on the man's eyes.
Maya gasped when he untangled the string from her ring with the help of his teeth. He chuckled as he swung the red string in front of her.
Maya felt her heart miss a beat. His eyes and nose scrunched up, revealing his bunny smile. Maya felt as if he's sharp and seductive face softened by atleast 90%.
Maya chuckled shyly. As if reflecting his action. A deep dimple forming at the end of her lips. Her smile warm and gummy, her eyes squinting.
"Your smile is a so captivating ma'am."
